Overview

Are the stars of The Fame Game ready for their close-ups?

Madison Parker has discovered that not all publicity is good publicity. After turning herself in for stealing some bling, the reality star is stuck doing community service while her Fame Game castmates soak up all the screen time. Not that newcomer Kate Hayes needs more attention—ever since her song became an overnight sensation she's suddenly acting like she's Katy Perry. Aspiring actress Carmen Curtis is making a name for herself, but she's finding it harder than ever to get out from behind her famous mother's shadow. And in Hollywood, leading men are a dime a dozen, but a good man is hard to find. So, when two of the girls have their eye on the same guy, that can mean only one thing: on-camera drama.

From Lauren Conrad, bestselling author of the L.A. Candy series, comes a story of the complicated lives of TV reality stars told with humor, heart, and a unique insight into Hollywood life both on- and off-camera.

Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Move over, Kardashians; the young women of L.A. Candy have taken over the reality show scene. What makes the fictitious dueling friends of Lauren Conrad's Fame Game novels so irresistible is their penchant for playing out their deepest weaknesses and aspirations. In Starstruck, the second episode, Madison Parker, Kate Hayes and Carmen Curtis play major roles in what could be their own respective downfalls.

    Starstruck :D

Thanks for all the support! Lately I've been feeling a little down, especially since I now have a habit of looking at depressed people's Instagrams (don't ask). Seeing these people's bloody arms from cutting themselves and sad poems about suicide somehow highlights the bad stuff in my own life. Idk, I have a messed up mind. Here's some stuff I wanna put on the world wide web:
    1. Don't feel bad for not reviewing. I do the same thing. I read something I really really like, but I'm too lazy to hit the write a review button. *throws hands in the air* I'm a hypocrite. Guilty.
    2. I'm a sucky roleplayer. I love warriors and all, but I'm actually really shy with newer people and have the tendancy to wait for them to make the first move in a friendship. If I myself try to talk to someone new, it always comes out wrong
and they're all like "shun." But a clan with many authors in it…well, that's an offer I have to consider. If you see a cat show up and say their name is Lilywisp, it's good ole Starstruck.
    3. I feel like I was asking too much when I said 5 comments. Three is enough. PEETA'S BURNED BREAD FOR ALL!
In other words, Lakeside Drive WILL continue! Tommarrow, look for it in the frozen foods isle!
    Yours mewly,
    Starstruck
Ps. I'm thinking of changing my name (Starstruck) to Ciarra. Thoughts?
