This book completely fails to fulfill the expectations of someone who hopes to read about Style. It is an extremely simple book expressing Kate Spade's likes and dislikes, the title should be somewhere around 'The things that I like' lines, I felt I was reading a childrens' book. No depth, very flat and with a misleading title.

Just by looking at this book you learn about style. Not full of the usual junk, this book is the core of style. Instead of telling you what shoes to put with tan trousers, Kate Spade gives examples of how to create your own signature by understanding what sets you off as an individual.

A complete guide that will help and encourage you to express your own style, from books and movies, how to organize your closet, to how to take care of your vintage clothes. It's an essential for any young woman.

I was quite surprised to receive such a small book. Although it is helpful for a person like me who is trying to develop my own style, it lacks in the illustration department. True, Kate Spade is a powerhouse and fashion icon but I think the publishers could have offered more content for the price. It's a five year old book now and classic style will always be "in", but there are parts that already seem dated.
