Overview

A scorching debut novel of erotic historical romance set against the backdrop of Regency England.

Eden Emery is no stranger to sin. To keep her sister safe from harm, she's paid a steep price with her body-and very nearly lost her soul. But when Baron Ivor Hartford, the man who has dishonored her, finally dies, her troubles are far from over.

Major Stuart Hartford, the late baron's nephew, is in the market for an honorable wife, but first he has to take care of the matter of his Uncle Ivor's ward, Eden-a young woman who makes him question the virtue of being proper. For the passion she incites burns away his inhibitions and inflames his heart.

But Eden has vowed to never again cede her destiny to a man. And Hart is left with no choice but to tempt the temptress herself...

    involving story with surprises aplenty

It's no secret that I adore Maggie Robinson "aka" Margaret Rowe. She is a wonderful storyteller in a nicely naughty way! The storyline for "Tempting Eden" is not one that I would usually choose, but I trust Maggie/Margaret's voice as an author. "Tempting Eden" drew me in from the beginning, and then it spun me around several times before landing me in a very involving romance. The seducer and the seduced often trade places in this compelling story, and hearts are laid bare as souls' darkest secrets are revealed. A memorable romance read!

    TEMPTING EDEN IS A STUNNER!!

I am addicted to the Regency era. When Berkley Heat in June 2010 sent a copy of TEMPTING EDEN by Margaret Rowe I couldn't help but drop everything and find out what was between the cover. Yes it is a year later and I just reread this story and found myself drawn back to the deliciously decadent and saucy scorcher of a read.

What do you do with one of the tons most perfect nobleman and an imperfect woman that is about to turn his "Holy Hartford" persona upside down?

Eden Emery is the reason I am addicted to TEMPTING EDEN. Eden isn't your usual Regency heroine who has lived a hard life. Don not get me wrong Eden Emery has lived a hell of an odious life under the nefarious brutal rule of her step-father, Baron Ivor Hartford. Lord knows I cheered when he dropped dead. Ms. Rowe did an outstanding job in creating a heroine who jumped off the page and right into my heart. Even though I never experienced anything as close to Eden's plight, I did experience the feeling of unworthiness that emanates from TEMPTING EDEN'S pages. Eden's voice is so strong and clear that it would cut through glass. Her strength in character is what pulls the story along to make her one of the most endearing heroines that will be tucked n your heart for all time.

TEMPTING EDEN had some very interesting and charismatic characters such as Mrs. Iris Brown who is the Madame of the elite PATHEON Club, her band of misfits and girls that she takes under her wing and I would be obtuse to not mention Hart's lovable compassionate widowed aunt, Mrs. Julia Cheverly, who her self was a staple to this very engaging and heartening story. The main attraction besides Eden Emery that captivated my attention from the get-go was the newly appointed Barron Hartford, Major Stuart "Holy" Hartford. I ask how you can not love a man of pure perfection with miles of imperfections of his own to work through. Hart, when we first meet has a holier -than-though attitude which is perfectly matched with our severely independent heroine, who will never allow another man enslave her. We could say that Hart is you're a typical alpha make hero with his beautifully stunning face with his Adonis like physique. Hart does not capture your heart at the beginning. He is so wrapped in his new wards appearance that he doesn't see the woman for who she is.
Even though the story is fictional and takes place in the Regency era I was able to ascertain the major plot of trusting in yourself and forgiving your faults and learn to move forward. Eden has suffered a lot in her short twenty-three years and feels extremely guilty for things she had control over and things that were out of her control. At times you feel her shame and pain over not being the lady hat the world perceives her to be. The more I read TEMPTING EDEN I felt empathy for Eden. I found myself understanding why she couldn't let go of the past. Her pride was entangled with the hurt and pain and made her feel she was unworthy for someone as perfect like "Holy Hartford". On the other, hand Hart has major faults of his own. They might not be surface born but as Hart unravels the truth of the life Eden lived all those years at Hartford Manor. Hart realizes that not everything is black and white and when you truly love someone you will do anything to heal their wounded heart.

If I have whetted your whistle and you would love to find out how Eden and Hart come to their very own happily ever after than make sure to pick
