Meet the Author

I'm a native Californian who finally made it back from the East coast. I grew up on a steady diet of Twilight Zone and Outer Limits television episodes, and own an autographed first edition of John Stanley's Creature Features Movie Guide. I love old-fashioned monsters, think serial killer movies are boring, and am still terrified by that stupid rubber squid in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

    Weird but entertaining

I was semi-hesitant to read this short story. Since it was a free ebook, I figured, "why not?!" It was an odd story about a man forming an unusual relationship with an anthill. The author did a good job painting the picture of the man's life and he became a relatable person... a drone moving through the daily routine of life. If you have some spare time, I'd recommend reading it. It kept me entertained.

It was okay. This is a SHORT story not a book. It's 20pgs. This

    It was okay.

This is a SHORT story not a book. It's 20pgs. This was a quick, easy read & it's free!

Spoiler: This wasn't one of his best. I did like how he shows us the man's life & nagging wife. He gives us a brief glimpse of his relationship w/the ants. I would have liked to have seen that develope more before he fed them "dinner"! I liked how they surrounded the pen & made contact. It was too predictable for me, I think we could all figured out what was gonna happen. Overall you can't go wrong w/this freebie! If you like short stories I have put a few freebies below to check out!

    Word wise

Short and predictable. In keeping with other works by this author. I like his characters, they appear simple. I think making them come to life in such a small number of pages is harder than people realize.

    Interesting

Short and predictable, but fun. It's not so much scary as it is a walk into the Twilight Zone, but for free, why the hell not? It's well written and will keep you entertained during your lunch break!

    Okay

Short story was okay but just not very original. Meek husband, bossy nagging wife, final staw .... although the ants did make a nice touch on the ending.

    Creepy

Very creepy. It was very weird. How do people come up with these things??? Haha all in all it was good for being so short. The author really could write a great novel.
