OMG... I have never written a review so I do not want to be rude but I wanted the author to understand my rating.

This book was given one star instead of a zero as one might have expected if it were possible because I do believe the author had a pretty good concept in her head when she was creating this story. I can just almost hear it play out in her head. It is kind of like having a dress design or a drawing in your head that is so beautiful but when you try to manifest your ideas into pen and paper they are not anything close to the reality of what you are dreaming. The author change from one subject to the next so fast I got mental whip lash. Now I am the first person to skip right over sections of a book that gets too descriptive of the scenery or the details of someones outfit. But when you have important moments described like you were brushing your teeth...such as losing your virginity to the man you love, or the hot make out sessions you seem to have had with him in the past, or even the mental breakdown that you appeared to have. For Moments like these to be casually mentioned and the support that Jackson showed in these times seems to have been better told if you had actually let us experience them with you rather than just mentioning them to us. That is why we are dizzy whenever a main character brings up something important out of the blue and handling it so common placed. I mean WHY was Max so surprised to be getting a call from Rhames and why don't they keep in touch? Can we come along too on that journey just for background information into their actual relationship. I think the author has a fresh approach to story telling but just needs help with her writing to invite the reader in her head. And I don't mean to be crass but the love scenes seemed to actually be written by virgin. You don't actually have to be graphic with these details to create a steamy scene...I mean it is a romance is is not...but just seeing stars is not all that makes up a hot romance. Think about it, this guy was willing to wait another hundred years to get laid by the woman he has been burning for for two years. Surely we would want to be in his head when the act is finally upon him. As it turns our we end up thinking the main character is just...dare I say it...BLONDE! Or at the very least thirteen years old. I mean who goes out and kills someone, gets the whole coven in danger and then turns around and says "I'm sorry I didn't know who he was. Will you protect me?" And how weak is this leader to say of course, will you marry me right now. And who actually believes the coven didn't want just kick her a@# right then and there. I mean really I felt like the author was actually writing this story in vampire speed. I know, I know I keep harping on this. But I am literally drunk here trying to get my land legs back from reading this story. It was like going through a very very very painful breach birth. Someone please suction my mouth out...I need to breathe again.
