I was going to read this story, but I wanted a little info about the book. I certainly found it. Please "Redrabbitt" don't tell everything
about the book someone else wants to read. Once I saw the words "The story ends with ... " I just can't bring myself to reading it.
I'm that way with books and movies, most people are. I don't know you, but please could you not spoil another book? Sorry, not trying
to be mean, it's just that, that's why we all read the books, to see the story and reach the end. Thanks.

I enjoyed the chapter, and do hope there is more to come to the story! The story is about a widow, her son, and his 10th birthday where his only wish was for a dog. The boy does errands for month to earn the money to purchase the dog. Apparently a petshop sells him the puppy without an adult present.
The story ends with an elderly lady showing up who had lost her dog of 17 years. I am going to assume that the mother is going to make a deal with this neighbor so her son can keep the dog! Surley there will be more to this story.

The idea of this book is a good one and I enjoyed reading it; however, it was extremely short. I don't know if it was more of a preview to a longer version of the book or if that was the story in it's entirety but because of how short it was it left me feeling like I had just read a jacket cover for a book rather the whole book. The storyline needs to be filled in and followed to it's natural conclusion. If it was just a preview though, I would probably read the rest of the book to see how the author builds the characters and resolves the problems brought up in the few pages written. If it felt more like a completed story I would probably recommend but even as a short story it just didn't feel finished.
