I'm going to make this short and sweet. Michael Tripp is the mother effing man! Tessa needs to stop the incessant chatter and fess up! Loved the sex! Loved the action! Love Cap! Seriously he needs his own book. So do the others! This is no bars, grab you by the neck and throw you against the wall good. Don't care what other reviewers are saying. The book is good and it's all due to Tripp and his boys! Only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because it ends in a cliffy and Tessa needs to stop being a hypocrite. That being said I will read book 2 bc I need to know what is going to happen next. So next book please? 4 stars! Lol.

Can't wait for more! The Gun Runner is the first book in the Mafia Made series by Scott Hildreth. It’s also my first time reading this author. I must say that I am now a fan. I loved everything about this book. It was fun, edgy, scorching hot, and refreshing. The action was off the charts both in the bedroom and on the urban battlefield. I was intrigued from start to finish. The hero and heroine were nothing like characters that I have read in the past. Their attraction was a little scary at first but that’s only because it was so raw. Michael Tripp is a Gun Runner. He is a former Marine who was in the military for 10 years. He has seen a lot of violence. In addition, he is an orphan so the military was his only family. He is honorable and fearless. Now, he sells guns to those that he believes have a noble cause and he makes a lot of money doing it. One morning, he saves a seemingly damsel in distress from getting assaulted by her former boyfriend. This damsel just so happens to be a mafia princess named Terra Agrioli. Her father is a true MAFIA GODFATHER who everyone knows and fears. Terra and Michael quickly become smitten with each other but neither of them is totally honest about who they really are. Terra claims to own a shoe store and Michael claims to be an investor. As usual, the deception becomes an issue for their future together at some point. In the meantime, they have some sexual escapades that can’t be described as anything other than erotic and that’s putting it nicely. In addition, several people get maimed or killed either by Michael or by his direction. Things really go south when Terra’s father tries to horn in on Michael’s business and doesn’t want to take no for an answer. It’s somewhat comical that in the midst of Michael’s run-ins with the mafia, he doesn’t make their connection with Terra. And Terra does too good of a job keeping her secret. There is so much more to say but I don’t want to ruin it. The discovery process will be entertaining for anyone that decides to venture into this world that Scott Hildreth has created. Nothing about the book was typical so if you are interested in something totally off the wall, this is it. My only complaint was that I have to wait until the next book to find out how certain things unfold. I’m sure that it will be worth the wait though. **Received a copy from Carina Press in exchange for an honest unbiased review.**

4.5 Stars The Gun Runner is fast paced, suspenseful and gritty. This was my first time reading Scott Hildreth but it certainly won’t be the last. I thought this book was very written well. Scott really draws you into Terra and Michael’s story. One word to describe Terra is feisty. She’s got a mouth on her. I’d like to say she’s independent but she’s really not. She has life handed to her and doesn’t have to lift a finger in order to get what she wants. She’s over dramatic at times and tended to overreact to situations which got a bit annoying. Michael may not have the most conventional job but you can tell that deep down he’s got a good heart. He didn’t let his past define him. He found a way to play the cards that he was dealt and made his own rules. I loved Michael but honestly Cap was my favorite! He was absolutely hilarious and I can only hope that he gets his own story down the line. The Gun Runner was an all around entertaining read. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to book 2 of Michael and Terra’s story.

Tripp Once, I took down terrorists on the front lines as a marine. Now I'm in the business of bad. I've sold guns to people others might not approve of. I've eliminated the criminals, the lowlifes and the thugs who've tread on my turf. And I looked the Sicilian Mafia boss in the eye and told him to f*** off. No one tells me no, unless it's their last word. I didn't just act the part of bad—I lived it. Then she stumbled into my life. I tried to stay away from her. Tried focusing on moving my merchandise. But one smile from Terra was like a shot to the heart. She's mine now. And no one threatens what's mine. Terra I've seen a lot of terrible things in my life. I grew up around lies and deception, and I ran away from all of them. Until I met him. I knew he was corrupt. I knew he was dangerous. I should have stayed away, but my attraction to him, my needfor him, overrode my logic. Now I love him. If he finds out who I am, we're done and I'll be nothing. I never wanted to be the Mafia princess they tried to make me, but mia familia had other plans. And what mia familia wants…it gets. Only Michael Tripp can save me. Tripp and Terra's story continues in Book Two of Mafia Made,The Game Changer. Review: Let's start off with this is a semi-cliffhanger ending. There is no HEA at the end and the story continues in book two. I am not sure how many books will be in this series, so if you don't like unresolved stories, you might want to wait. I have not read many modern romances written by men and this Author is new-to-me. He has an in your face kind of writing style. Which I do not mind. There is lots of dirty good fun and language in this story. Tripp is definitely Alpha-Male, he is ex-military and a gun runner and really does not take anything from anyone...except Terra. As soon as they meet she seems to be his Achilles heel. Though their meeting is not under the best of circumstances, there is an instant attraction. The attraction is great, but both are keeping BIG secrets from each other. Which is going to end spectacularly badly, especially, I think for Terra since she keeps putting off telling Tripp the truth about who she really is. Sexy in-your-face romance! Cannot wait for book two!!!! 4Stars *I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

"Nothing Else Matters"- First things first, I've never heard of SD until recently. I did not know of him at all, when I got this. I have purchased this book by pre-ordering & I bought the audiobook when it went live. This will be one that I will re-read! I can't wait for the next one, whether it's more about these two main characters or the secondary characters, maybe the best friends of the main characters?! I actually hope there's one more about these two & then go onto other characters, but it's just my own preference. Of course, that depends on how Book #2 would go. Doesn't really matter, this Book #1 doesn't really end on a cliffhanger. It can be a standalone. Again, there are my thoughts & preferences! No matter what, I hope that I get an opportunity to work with him again! Secondly, when you buy this book and you sit down to read it, make sure you have no plans because you are not going anywhere until you are finished! I will guarantee you of that! If you want an escape and a book that feels real, in a mafia/gun runner scenario, this book pulls you in and has you turning the pages until there's no pages left! This is fast paced & hot as hell.... You will need a fan, cold shower, a significant other/spouse/booty call or something. The scenes are that hot! Maybe read it with them? I know I'm going to! Now, let's move onto the book, which is told in a 2 POV (I have to admit, I love to read a book told from both sides) Michael Tripp is an ex-Marine, gun runner, hot as sin, alpha male, who takes sh*t from no one. Except maybe his best friend, Caps (who I love & hope he gets his own book). He was trying to keep his business under the radar of the local Italian mafia in Kansas City. He doesn't want to work with them, doesn't want to answer to anyone, and then he comes upon a buffoon and woman arguing. Enter the beautiful, sassy, feisty, mafia princess, Terra. Who isn't as sweet as she seemed when Tripp came upon them. She kicks the buffoon's nads a few times (her ex of 6 months, who didn't get the hint of EX). Her confidant/bestie is Michelle (wouldn't mind her getting a book with Caps). Tripp & Terra end up becoming friends with some banter & that turns into some erotic scenes! With so many lies, including what they do for a living or who they are, is there no turning back for Tripp or Terra? Action, drama, humor, holy hotness, emotions, wants vs needs, lust vs love, romance, suspense, gritty, and so much more.... I want so much more! Is there any way to save themselves & their relationship if/when the truth comes out?Sorry, no spoilers from me! I bought the book & I bought the audiobook...I didn't have to! This book is a must read! Go grab this book! Again, you will not regret it!
