If you have little ones who enjoy The Night Before Christmas, Michael Hebler’s The Night After Christmas will be sure to make their eyes sparkle and their hearts happy.

The story is really cute, and goes along in the familiar rhythm of The Night Before Christmas. Santa looks very much like he did in illustrations of the original poem. The rest of the illustrations are full of texture, almost like crayon colors or pastels, giving the pictures a warm, fuzzy feeling that should always be associated with Santa.

This book is an extension of Clement C. Moore's story of Santa's busiest night of the year. The Night After Christmas is a darling story of what happens back at the North Pole while Santa is delivering gifts to all the good little boys and girls. I like that this book can become a holiday tradition to be read every year.

he story is a fun and delightful twist on the classic It Twas the Night Before Christmas. Michael tells the tale of what happens on Christmas night and how Santa gets back safely to the North Pole. It is a fun story (with colorful illustrations by Anita Driessen) the whole family will enjoy, but easy enough to read for most young readers to enjoy by themselves or to show off their reading skills.

The Night after Christmas is sure to become a holiday favorite in your home as it has already made it's way into nightly rotation in mine. This book is a wonderful follow up to the original children's classic, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore. The Night After Christmas is written in the same sing songy verse as the original and has beautiful, whimsical illustrations.
