Great book! I really liked this one. Have read some of his other work & can be hit or miss. This one was a HIT! Spoiler: Plot was great & the action stared quick & stayed steady. The 2 characters were well developed & there are a few chuckles here & there. I would have liked Mr Broda to explain the "source" a more. I was confused about what side it was on. You had the sprites & dryads that supported the "source" so I thought that it was helping "fairy" or "magical" creatures, but then "dragonman" & "catkin" which are "magical" &"fairy" creatures fought against them. Also what was the "opposite" force that kept trying to kill them? I would have liked to understand the "catkin" a better. Gen stated that they "are a mated pair", both are males, & to be mated, it must have been bloody. So I am assuming, mating isn't how we think of it, maybe matched or bonded because they fought so well together? Or are they "all" male? We also don't really know what Gen is? Is she human? How old is she? Mr. Broda though out the story has other characters say "she isn't what she seems", so I would like to know! It was a great story about a warrior on a path to redemption. Sorry about your friend Mr. Broda, GL to you!
