    Worth the time and money

I originally bought the book because of the 4 and 5 star reviews here on BN's website. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Ms. Nixon kept me intrigued and anxious as I flipped from page to page. At the end of every chapter I was sure I knew who the murder but my guess weren't always right. The only thing that I did not like about the book was giving away the murder's identity.

She'd do anything for her friend.

What would you do if you came back home one day and you find out that your very best friend was being chased by the police because everybody believes that she murdered her own mother? This book describes the one by one detail on how Jennifer, without support of authorities except from one retired police man, needs to solve a big case that can save Jennifer's friend. Jennifer and Bobbie are best friends, such big friends that when Bobbie gets convicted by police for "murder", Jennifer risks her own safety and life to save her friend. Stella Trax, Bobbie's mother, is found dead one day, without a proper investigation poor Bobbie is jailed, Jennifer, who knows that her friend would never ever do such a thing, tries to solve the crime. Her one and only help is an ex-police officer Lucas and together they solve the crime. But Jennifer is in danger, she has to also deal with a stalker, who threatens her, scares her with rhymes, laughter, and pranks, all to stop her investigation, but Jennifer just has to save her friend. This is a not a very indulging book, and I would gladly have read another one, with a better organized way of words, which can make it more clear. The book is a little bit messy, with no specified climax, also from the title "The Stalker" I would expect more from a stalker. There are some clues, and very many red herrings, but the main clues and answer to the murder is mostly banged into the end. If you would like a very dramatic and interesting book I would advise "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin. In all, this book was an interesting read that was finished quite quickly, if you want to read a book just for the sake of reading a book, but also having a small thrill and chill, I think this is the book for you!

    The Stalker

What would you do if your best friend was accused of murdering her own mother?
    What am I reviewing?
I am reviewing the book call The Stalker. It is a mystery, detective book that has more than meets the eye.
Where does the story take place?
It appears to take place in California near the ocean, around the main character Jennifer's hometown.
    Who are the main characters?
The main characters in this book start out with Jennifer Lee Wilcox the very persistent and stubborn girl, the so called Bobby Trax a quiet and private girl that has a lot of secrets, Jennifer's best friend and the accused murderer. Not to mention Mr. Biddles the very suspicious man that had several connections that no one really knew.
How does it convey its main point, mood, or theme?
Suddenly finding out on the news by her mom that her best friend's mother was murdered suspected by her daughter she sets out to get it right.
The mood of coming close to losing someone and having to work hard to get things done right whatever obstacles and whoever that gets in the way has made a strong part in putting this book together.
Thru its chapters it has tidbits of the stalkers work not quite giving away what is going on leaving you on the edge and after finding a detective willing to work with her it slowly unravels.
Why did I like this book?
This book was very interesting it didn't just give the story away it was mysterious, dangerous, it required lots of work that showed you how to be a detective and it had a better ending than planned by the main character Jennifer.

    The Stalker

This book was amazing, It was about a girl named jennifer wilcox and her bestfriend is chagered with the murder of her mom. Jennifers friend Bobby gets send to jail and jennifer knows that she is innocent. so she takes the liberty to try to hire a private detective so get bobby free. The authors purpose is to inform you that if you think someone is not guilty than help them fight for there freeedom. The story takes place in a small town near the coaste. The action takes place everywhere, but the major action takes place in bobbies house late at night. the main characters are Jennifer, her private detective friend, bobby, and the killer. The mood of the story is surprising and scary because she gets close of dieing or being hurt alot. The story fullfills its purpose by informing that if you belive in somthing than you shouldnt give up. I liked this book in general because i like suspence and drama. I agreed with the main point because you should follow with what you belive in. i didnt dislik anything from the book it was great. the author did a great job with the drama and sending out the message. The book doesnt need two be improved its great as it is.

    The Stalker

Jennifer Wilcox has everything she can ask for a great life, the best friend a girl could have(Bobbie),and a great boyfriend named Mark. One day though Jennifer finds out that Bobbie's Mother Stella was strangled and killed.Bobbie was arrested for the crime because its was her scarf that Stella was killed with, and from previous events in the day. Now Jennifer is doing everything she can to prove her friends innocence, even if it causes her to risk her life and be stalked by Stella's killer. This book is the best i have ever read in my life. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and your never know what's going to happen.I never put this book down, I read this book on my bus rides to basketball games that's how good it was.I recomend this book for people anywhere from 12-18 years of age for males and females.

    A great book

This book was about a girl named Jennifer and she was going to prove everyone that her best friend Bobbie didn't kill her own mother stella but, because no one believed her not even the cops or her grandmam just because there where annoncing it all over the news.Jennifer went on her own to find clues so she can prove every one that her friend was innocent. As it turns out the stalker all along was the mother of Bobbie and she was the one helping Jennifer find the killer and her killer was the teacher because she saw the teacher carring Stella in his arms but she did not care about her safety she was determined to free her friend. My opinion of this story is that I really enjoyed it was very mysterious book its really excited because it tells you by details and the clues.Well i recomend this book for people who like to read mystery books and i really like how the authour made this and with lots of imagination I would read this book again because its just a wonderful book.I think If people would read this book they would really enjoyed It.They might enjoy it because the pattern she wrote this. Also because you might get a scare if you're reading this alone and not want to go out by yourself at night.I really liked her work and I think if you give her chance you might also too.Never know if you give things a chance.

    Excellent Thriller

This book was great. I would give it six stars if I could. Joan Lowery nixon keeps you guessing until the end. I had no idea what other twists she was going to add to the already excellent novel. Not only were the characters described wonderfully, but the plot was a greatly written mystery.
