I read this book when it first came out and now I've got my wife reading it! My only complaint is the editing is lousy in the nookbook. I don't have my copy on hand at the moment to verify some of the errors, but I'm a natural born editor and spelling and grammar errors leap off the page at me. I've only read the first chapter and found TEN errors that any decent word processor would find in a heartbeat. I will continue reading this book and see how bad it gets. Fortunately, my wife isn't as OCD about it as I am.
I still recommend this book and series.

One has to marvel at Henry Darrow's abilities. He recovers from a life threatening injury to go onto a maverick venture that publicly embraces psionic ability in a time when it is met with cries of witchcraft by supposed learned people. And worse, is feared by most of the population. Well, more power to Darrow. You'll read in later Talent books, how he and his children, and grandchildren succeed and win the public to their side. A must read.
