I greatly enjoyed Perich's first Mara Cunningham novel, Too Close To Miss, and was eager to read this as soon as it came out. It did not disappoint. It's a bit slower out of the gate, but once it clicks into gear, you won't put it down. Mara Cunningham, already a great protagonist, gets more fully developed here, and the flashback scenes to her childhood are as engaging as mystery that unfolds in the present. Was this review helpful?
