At 9:32 on a tropical morning, a puddle jumper takes off into the skies over Tortola. But at 9:39, not far from Detective Hannah Sampson’s boat, it nose-dives into the water. Only moments later, Hannah and her partner are sixty feet below the surface, vying with reef sharks for any survivors.
Soon Hannah plunges into an investigation. Was one of the passengers a target? And who would want to kill a planeload of Caribbean tourists? Every lead is a dead end. And as Hannah copes with a nine-year-old survivor, a shady suspect, a shaky relationship -- and an approaching hurricane -- she wonders if she’s gotten in too deep....
Captured my attention from the start, and held it throughout the story. I want to see the next book to see what happens between Sampson and O'Brien next.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved her. I could not put the book down. Just when you think you figure out "who done it," there is another twist in the story. Real great book!

I thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series. Each of the four books captures your attention at the beginning and just continues. Hopefully there will be a fifth book in the series, because it seemed the ending was rushed and pages were missing. Other than the ending of the fourth book, I enjoyed the series. Great reading.

Have read all 4 of the books...loved them all...all I am wondering is there a 5th book in the series? All of the books kept my attention to the point of not wanting to put it down. Put I had to let my nook recharge! Great summer reading...

Love books with strong characters doing a job they enjoy and are experts in their field. This series provides a new twist by going to the islands and dealing with crimes occurring under water. I have now read two of Kathy Brandt's books and look forward to reading more.

I really enjoyed reading all four of these books in the series. I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how it all turned out!! However, the ending of "Under Pressure" left me thinking that I was missing pages. I think she could have wrapped up the series with a more fulfilling ending.

This series keeps getting better and better. I just loved this one, even though, living in South Florida, I wanted to wait until hurricane season was over before I read this. I couldn't wait and really enjoyed it.

Once and a great while you stumble on a series that becomes part of your 'gotta-have-it' list. The Hannah Sampson underwater investigation books will do that to you. You'll tell your friends, read them at work and wait impatiently for the next one. Under Pressure, the fourth in the series, is the best yet. It has a surprising mystery (you won't figure this one out) an amazing setting, a quirky main character and a couple of heart wrenching emotional scenes that will make you forget you're reading a book. Do yourself a favor and try this series - you'll be glad you did.
