Overview

We are excited and proud to introduce you to one of many new/old incredibly illustrated horror comics from the Golden Age of the genre. It's fitting that we publish a masterpiece, illustrated-story titled, "Blood in the Sky," from the No. 11 edition of Haunted Thrills.

This 1953 classic exemplifies why these comics live on forever. This vintage, terror masterpiece is not only built on a foundation of good story, good plot, great characters and the horrific consequences they bring upon themselves, it is also a beautiful work of retro art. It reaches for you guts -- and is nothing like the slick, pretty stuff of today's comics!

IMPORTANT:

We have worked diligently to find a way to present this fine work on an e-reader like the Nook and the color Nook. Because graphics take up so much space, and because e-book screens are smaller than traditional comic books, we have carefully formatted non more than 2-panels to each page. In some cases, just one panel is displayed on a page -- when the image is large.

This ensures that you the reader of our vintage horror comics can read them comfortably and enjoy them to the fullest! However, because of the size of the file, downloading can take more time -- so please do not be alarmed if it takes a minute or two for the title to show up on your reader.

Also, because of the large size of the file, we have combed what we consider the best of the best stories -- so you will get only the highest quality of the genre.

Finally, you can read this comic on a black-and-white Nook or a color Nook. It goes without saying that on a color Nook the experience is excellent because of the bright clear colors that are brought to life.

We intend to publish many of these classics, so you can count on seeing more new/old titles over the coming months.

    Great classic horror comic!

I have a color Nook and this horror comic classic looked great! The formatting is pretty good with only tow panels per page. Love this 1950s horror genre that was forced to water down in the mid-1950s. This tale was really cool!

    Avoid!

The republisher of this book did not even bother to color-correct these obviously aged scans. Sloppy panel cropping did an injustice to these chilling tales of yore.

    Only one story!
