Everything I wanted to say about this gathering of short stories has already been said (errr, written). Except one lonely complaint about each and every short story in the book: They were so short! I enjoyed them so much! I wish Mercedes had given a whole 300+ pages in seperate books to each of the stories! What happened to Glenda in the Wastelands? What happened to Dick White and Skitty?

I found this gathering of short tales to be utterly facinating. They wound you into them, knowledge of the novels which they stemmed from was hardly necessary. I personally find her writing to always capture me, and even a few of the stories to fill in small gaps in the novels themselves relationship wise to the characters. Regardless, if you are a Mercerdes Lackey fan you will adore this book. If not, it would be the perfect introduction. An amusing read that left me with a smile.
