Head to Barnes & Noble Saturday September 17th for Batman Day!
Na na na na na na na na…September 17th is Batman Day! If there ever were a superhero who deserved their own holiday, it would be our beloved caped crusader. Taking on his nemesis the Joker and the rest of the villains of corrupt Gotham City since 1939 (time flies when you’re fighting crime?!), Batman has evolved from a comic book hero, to a movie franchise, a video game star, Halloween costume, and a Six Flags amusement park ride, among so many other incarnations. That’s one busy bat! Celebrate Batman Day by heading to Barnes & Noble this Saturday, September 19th for a day of all-ages events, including coloring activities, trivia, and special giveaways. To further help you and your little ones celebrate all things Batman, here’s a reading list perfect for your budding superhero!

Bedtime for Batman, by Michael Dahl and Ethen Beavers
Parents know it takes a superheroic effort to get their little ones in bed, but this book might help things feel like less of a struggle between arch-enemies. In eye-catching drawings and simple text, a child’s preparations for bed are compared with Batman’s busy night busting criminals (just as your kiddo dons her pajamas, so too must Bruce Wayne strap on his cape and cowl).
