Pillow Fight! 7 Books About Sleepovers

While the clichéd pillow fight really only happens in movies, there are plenty of other over-the-top antics that actually do take place at your average sleepover. Movie-watching, dare-swapping, candy-scarfing, and crush-gossiping are just a few generally accepted best-friend favorites. (Or am I just talking about my preferred activities here?) And while pajamas parties usually involve tons of fun, lots of games, and, yes, the occasional prank or two, they can also be slightly stressful for young kids, who are both nervous and excited to spend an evening away from home. These seven picture books address the “slumber party experience” and help children prepare for what will most likely be a super-awesome, giggle-filled overnight event—in which sleeping may or may not be on the agenda.
