Rock superstar Asher Corbin is back in Heart's Ease. And he's not alone. This time he's brought the cast and crew for his upcoming film debut to the small town for a retreat back in time to the Regency period.

Grace Nolan is thrilled to go to an honest-to-goodness Regency ball. But there she finds herself at the mercy of her deepest fantasy: a scandalous rake fresh out of the pages of her favourite historical romances.

When Grace claims not to recognize the dashing celebrity, Asher seizes the opportunity to step out of his persona and explore life out of the spotlight. But when she finds out his secret, her response plunges them into a game of seduction neither had expected to find.

About the Author

Victoria lives on the island of Newfoundland, and is fiercely proud of her home. She can imagine no better setting for her works, and hopes that her readers will one day come to witness Newfoundland and Labrador's rustic beauty for themselves.

She was born in St. John's, and raised above her family's fish and chips restaurant. She has travelled and lived in other parts of Canada, but chose to make her home where her heart has long resided. Victoria has a degree in History from Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a minor in Newfoundland Studies. The only thing that stands between her and a Master's degree in History from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia is her thesis. She has a background in broadcast journalism, advertising, and marketing. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, the Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada and the Writers' Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Victoria counts herself lucky to be surrounded by an incredibly supportive family, and thanks her husband daily for his unerring faith in her, and for being a wonderful father to their young son.

**I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review** Asher Corbin is a rock star who's agreed to do a movie. His real name is Ted. Grace Nolan is a 27yr old software designer and has a passion for Jane Austin and the regency era. Grace feels there was is nothing romantic left in the 21st century, that technology has ruined it. Grace's sister Fiona gave her an invitation to a regency ball, but there was only one other person dressed in the regency style and it turned out to be Ted. Ted wanted a break from being Asher and just wanted to be Ted. I really enjoyed the interactions between Grace and Ted, especially since Grace doesn't realize Ted's other persona until much later in the book. Ted is drawn to Grace. I enjoyed reading the book. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a good romance.

"21st Century Rake," by Victoria Barbour is a light, fun read. It's the fourth in the Heart's Ease series and is fine as a stand-alone. I did get a little confused about who's who but it didn't get in the way of the story. It's a sweet, simple book and there were no sex scenes until about 88%, and even then, pretty tame. This is a great book if you're looking for an uncomplicated love story that's not too hot and steamy.
