This was my least favorite of the series so far. Their relationship and actions just seemed childish. I didn't really connect with Gaby the way I did with the other females in the group. She just seemed like a giddy little girl. I didn't really like Scott either. In the other books, they were fine. I just didn't like them as main characters. I didn't like how a part of the story (had to do with Gwen) was left unfinished. It wasn't a big part of the book by any means. Nonetheless it was started and left unfinished. Maybe it will be addressed in a later book.

All I really want to say is THANK GOD SCOTT ENDED IT WITH VICTORIA!!!!!! How in the world he ever ended up with her while being with this group of friends is beyond me. I don't remember the last time I was so happy with a book break up. Scott planning the weekend away with the entire group of friends was really quite perfect. I have such fond memories of some really great trips with friends. (I also have some memories of our group of friends coupling off quite nicely for a while; although in our case... none of those relationships ended up being long term. It was really fun while it lasted though.). The events of the weekend were fun to read. I love that the friends all knew what was going on with Scott and Gaby, and did their best to help move all of the scheduling and activity pieces into place. I've enjoy the theme on this series of each book having a set time. It's fun.

42 There's nothing like a second chance romance that wraps you up in deliciousness and leaves you begging for more. This is actually book 3 in A Time For Love Series and can be read as a standalone. I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I could not put it down. This was my first read from this author and I will definitely be reading the first 2 in this awesome series and look forward to many more. This is the story of Scott and Gaby who grew up together and was each other's first but decided to stay friends instead of pursuing a relationship when they were younger. Fast forward years later and it never seem to be the right time. Scott's friends staged a intervention to explain to him that he shouldn't marry the woman he was engaged to because she wasn't right for him. He knew it because he called it off before but he's a good man and it couldn't see hurting her until he finally realized that she just wasn't the one for him. Gaby has always thought that Scott was the one for her but he was engaged so she moved on with her life but was still holding out hope. Whenever these two was together you felt the underlying chemistry and knew that it was their moment. Scott realizes it too and only has 42 hours to make Gaby see that they belong together. I loved the characters in this series and how close they all were to one another and we should all wish to have a great group like them in our corner. You get a glimpse of the next book at the back of this story and I for one CAN"T WAIT!!!

This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the intervention idea of letting Scott know how desperate his friends were to get him to see the mistake of getting married to Victoria. He knew this himself, but felt stuck. Gaby, one of those frineds, and Scott share a wonderful past. They've been friends for years and even more than friends...once. With 42 hours to prove to Gaby they belong together, will Scott be able to convince her to take a chance on them? ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite It’s been almost a decade since that special night Gaby and Scott spent together and, unfortunately, it is a night they simply can’t forget. They have done the right thing, the adult thing, the mature thing, and decided that anything more than the one night would harm their friendship. But in 42 Hours, Scott’s friends step in to prevent him from marrying the spoiled and cold-hearted Victoria, who obviously makes him miserable. Gaby has her own guy now, the utterly adorable Brock who, unfortunately, just isn’t Scott. When Scott sees the light and gives Victoria her walking papers, he has one weekend to convince Gaby the time is right for them to have their own love story. Bethany Lopez has outdone herself with 42 Hours, a story full of love, passion and friendship. There is something about a second chance love story that just sets you up for the warm and fuzzies and Bethany Lopez hands them out in spades with this tale. Both Scott and Gaby are doing well in their careers and have relationships that are more a product of necessity than any real feelings. The chemistry throughout 42 Hours is sizzling so that at times you’ll blush from just a heated glance. What I really loved, aside from their incredible friends, is that though the chemistry was great, it was so clear that Gaby and Scott made each other happy. He realizes he was last happy back when he was with Gaby and that’s something none of us could, or should, live without. The progression of this relationship was a thing of beauty and allowing Scott just 42 Hours to make it happen definitely upped the drama of the story.
