The recipes I tried were easy to prepare. I like this kind of cookbook because you only need to use a few ingredients and most are prepared products that saves on time. The ingredients you do need are more like staples in your food pantry or cupboard.

this is by far the best and easiest compilation of recipes that the average person would use and a good variety..and they are not complicated or take long to make...highly recommend for seasoned cooks and new cooks alike

Most are great recipes for easy, quick meals. Made a couple of meals our family didn't like, but a number of them are monthly standbys for us (saucy mozzarella chicken!) Divided by seasons, which is kinda fun.

I bought this book online for my very fact-paced, full-time working, full-time graduate student mother so she could hopefully get back some of the aspects of cooking that she loves, such as simple recipes with simple ingredients. Even though this book has a lot recipes and cute fonts, you're really only paying for the cover. The pages are very thin and weak, which is not ideal in a kitchen where things leak, splatter, spill, etc. There are NO photos. I also wished it was organized better. BUT....being that it is not a gift for me, an avid hearty cook...I am hopeful that my mom will enjoy this....*fingers crossed* Happy Holidays!
