This sweet romance is the story of Micah and Alice. When Micah is left with his 5 month old daughter, a baby he never knew about until the untimely death of her mother, it's a blessing in disguise for Alice, who can move out of her parent's house to help care for the baby. Bonding over the child, there is a rekindling of feelings from their teenage friendship - but can they be brave enough to take this chance on new love? I quite enjoyed this story. The themes of forgiveness, redemption and love are strong and well portrayed. Micah is coming to grips with being a father, at the same time feeling distinctly unworthy for such a blessing when he spent many years away from the church and living a lifestyle that wasn't really what he wanted. These feelings of inadequacy affect his relationship with Alice as he truly believes he doesn't deserve her. Alice on the other hand is a sweet and caring woman, who has carried a tendre for Micah for many years but doesn't ever expect it to be reciprocated. However as they become used to each other again, spending time together and helping each other, those feelings are back in the forefront. The development of their romance is sweet and tender as they both come to grips with their feelings for each other. It ties in nicely with the theme of Easter, of rebirth and renewal. Overall it was a lovely story, with realistic characters and a satisfying happy ending. 4 stars.

Strength in Christianity and love. It there in its undertones but it does not beat you over the head with it. Micah is the prodigal son returned home to be a Deacon in his brother's church. With that said, he is none to happy to see the girl,Alice, he let go of in the church offering assistance. Alice is back because life has been life for her and she needs a place to start again and regroup herself.  Micah finds that he will need Alice's help to get him through some of what life has to offer when you live the life he has for years. With this comes the respect for one another and then follows love. Adams is showing her growth as an author and what she has to offer the reading community. She has many sides and this is just yet another one of those side to her talent.  Thanks, NetGalley.

This is a story of forgiveness and faith. Forgiving yourself and asking forgiveness from the Higher Power you believe in. Faith in yourself and in the fact that if you forgive yourself and the Higher Power you believe in has also forgiven you, then you should trust that those who love you can forgive you. Micah has lived a wild life since he went off to college. The burden of his past now that he has mended his ways, comes back to remind him he is human. His journey to forgiving himself is told in this book as it affects his desire to re-establish his relationship with Alice. Alice has her burdens too. She needs to believe in herself after two failed relationships and losing Micah when he went off to college. These characters are very real as well as devout. Their faith is a driving force in their lives. Through their journey, a beautiful and deep love blossoms between them. This book is a good book. It is meant for readers who are devout. Except for the ending, I would rate this book as PG-13. My only concern is the pace of the story, which at times cold have picked up a bit. All in all, it is a book worth picking up for those who enjoy reading about small towns and lovers who find themselves after losing their way.

This story was really easy to read and I loved the way you can get invested in it. The subject matter was well thought out and wonderfully written. I always love to find books that have my values in them and also stay real. This is a definite recommend.

A nice, sweet story about alice & micah, who had a magical, heart melting summer together when alice was sixteen & micah had just graduated from high school. Alice's heart was broken when he left for college, left her without a backward glance & decided to live a life of one night stands. This story is about them years later when alice returns to willow park. Alice is layed off from her full time university job & needs to find a way to support herself. Micah needs help taking care of his baby that he did not know about so he hires alice who bonds with cara at almost first sight. As usual my heart aches for the young woman who though she denies it to herself & fights against it, is still achingly in love with micah. Micah, on the other hand, is distant, standoffish, & cold. Not as intense and intimately involving as married for christmas, series #1. There is sexual attraction between the two, but very held back. Of course we know that these series have an hea, but i wish micah had to have fought harder for alice to restore her trust in him & her faith in life. For some reason i did not feel a welling of deep love for alice pouring out of him. Maybe because it feels imbalanced with the descriptive feelings that alice has for him. Still worth reading!

A beautiful and inspiring book about forgiveness, love and romance. This is not a religious book if those reading this review are concerned. Micah had fallen away from his beliefs and suddenly had to accept the consequences of his "wild" life before returning to his faith. If those who were supposed to proof read this before sending to it to be printed had done their job the rating would have been much higher. As it is published with all the frustrating errors, I think it is a little over priced. The proof readers need to actually read it rather than depend on spell check. Spell check does not always pick up errors when the word is spelled correctly. Specifically, in this book it was common for the same word to appear before as well as after the next word.

Enjoying this series. I especially like this theme. Forgiveness of ourselves is so important to living the life God has called us each to. But, even if you don't believe in God or His forgivness, it is essential to a healthy life in any case.

I am reading the whole Willow Park series. Each book stands on it's own but can't wait to read the next story. Noelle is engaging in her thoughts and characters.

I received this book, for honest review.  This book is about Micah, & Alice.  The struggles they both have, with their lives, and beliefs.  This book is tamed.  If your looking for erotic, or hot sex.  This book isn't for you.  This is more a christian book.
