A Bewitching Christmas by Amanda J. Greene, Niina Cord

It has been seven years since Analette Dyson stopped practicing magic and headed to New York, where she created a new life, complete with a fabulous job, an apartment in Central Park West, and a sexy werewolf fiancé. She never planned on returning to her small home town in Maine, but when she learns her grandmother is ill, she decides to pop over for a visit and what better time than Christmas? Excited for her fiancé to meet her family, they head up a day early.

Worst idea ever!

After doing some last minute Christmas shopping, Analette returns to their hotel to find her fiancé in bed with another woman. Cursing the universe for her never ending bad luck with men and dreading telling her family about her cheating fiancé, she heads to the bar to self medicate.

Not one to celebrate the holidays, vampire and assassin, Cole McRae, has followed a lead to a rustic town in witch territory. But after a few days of research and waiting for his target to show, he begins to suspect he has wasted his time. That is, until he meets a curvaceous blonde with bewitching green eyes at the local bar. One night with the enchanting Analette could make this useless trip well worth his time.

Their passion is undeniable and unbeknownst to them, their fates are intertwined. Magic and romance will strike on Christmas, changing their lives forever.

This a quick and hot read about a witch and a vampire. With a seasonal setting combined with betrayal, action and adventure, steam between the sheets, plus a mischievous and manipulative grandma, there's a lot in here for a novella. It was exceedingly well written, with no grammatical errors that I found. There are many intriguing aspects to this story, including but not limited to, magic thieves and Under Realm Assasins. Do I want to know more about this world? You betcha! Definitely recommended for all fans of quick, steamy paranormal reads. * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

What a sexy little read!As a hardcore fan of the paranormal romance genre, I have always thought nothing could beat it. But adding Christmas in the mix makes it even better. I really enjoyed this story. It is everything that you could want in a novella. It's a quick and entertaining read with good characters and an interesting story. There's a little bit of action and a whole lot of sexy. The paranormal aspects are what make this novel. I love that the story included multiple kinds of paranormal creatures. Having the story take place around Christmas was the bow on top of an already nice present. :) I found the idea of an Under Realm group of paranormal assassins very intriguing and am looking forward to seeing more of this world. I enjoyed the authors writing and will definitely read more from her. I am hoping that we will see more of Cole and Analette because I would love to have a bit more closure and even a happy ending.

Greene introduces us to a variety of different supernaturals and really develops those that we meet  closely in this story.  The concept and strength of vampire claiming is apparent to anyone reading and made me fall in love with Cole a little more.  She also develops the notion and workings of the assassins in a way that readers can understand it and connect with it.  It all worked directly into the plot of the story, one which kept me on my toes, between the suspense and palpable chemistry between the characters.  Greene is a visually descriptive author who really brings this all to life in a vivid manner.  The well written, polished presentation makes it a joy to read. I felt for both the main characters in this story from the moment that they were introduced.  It wasn’t pity, but rather an emotional connection with them based on what they’d been through.  I liked seeing both characters’ perspectives on the goings on.  Not only did it add to the character development, but it also added a great deal of fun and heat to the story.  The intense chemistry between the characters really drives the story forward.   This novella is fun for Christmas, or at any time of year.  Greene has created a unique & unforgettable story for those who love hot supernaturals. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting story line. Wish it would have been developed into a longer book instead of 77pg short story. Also full of typos. Still enjoyed the read, but author should have proof read.

I normally shy away from seasonal stories. I prefer stories that can be read year round. To my surprise I actually enjoyed A Bewitching Christmas. This fast-paced romance has a good plot, burns hot, and the characters are interesting. I like my romances to be more than just physical and author Amanda J. Greene does not disappoint. Even though I enjoyed the sex scenes, it was the interesting plot twist that got my blood pumping. I won’t be revealing what happens but needless to say this was a good beginning to a new series.  Anyone looking for a quick, fun read with a witch and vampire hook-up will enjoy A Bewitching Christmas. Looking forward to the next book! I was provided a copy of the book for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review in any way and the opinions of this review are all mine. A Bewitching Christmas (Under Realm Assassins, #1) by Amanda J. Greene Witch, Analette Dyson,  brings her werewolf fiancé home with her for the holidays.  Before she even has a chance to introduce him to her family, she finds the jerk in bed with another woman.  She flees the hotel winding up at a local bar to drown her sorrows. Vampire, Cole McRae, is a member of the Under Realm Assassins.  He is on assignment in the witch territory of Maine to eliminate a Magic Thief.  While at a tavern, he meets a beautiful woman who he is determined to have before the end of the night.  Little did they know their lives were intertwined. A Bewitching Christmas is an enjoyable quick read.  It has steamy sex scenes and an interesting plot.  The characters are multidimensional  and likeable.  Except the ex-fiancé of course – him, I don’t like. Amanda J. Greene packs a lot in this 75 page novella.  This is a great start to the Under Realm Assassins Series and would make a great gift for any paranormal romance lover – even if it’s a gift to yourself.  ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
