A CHRISTMAS BRIDE IN PINECRAFT is the end of Ms. Gray's Pinecraft series. I enjoyed each of the books in this collection. In this finale, Ms. Beverly's inn is robbed and she's a basket case. She calls the owner of the inn (Eric) and he comes to her rescue, as does the community at large. It was easy enough to figure out who robbed Ms. Beverly and even why, so this isn't a suspense. It is really a very gentle, slow moving romance, that is focused more on the inn and on Ms. Beverly's feelings about being robbed. I did find myself skimming most of the book, but that might been due to the emotional place I found myself in more than the writing. I'm not sure. Fans of Mennonite and Amish fiction might want to read A CHRISTMAS BRIDE IN PINECRAFT. I bought a copy of this very-well-used at a garage sale (will not show up as a verified buyer on Amazon) and all opinions are my own.

This was a sweet Christmas story. I have really enjoyed this series of books and I was very happy to finally be able to read Beverly and Eric's story. Some of Beverly's uncertainty and fear throughout the first portion of the novel was frustrating to me and I wanted to her to bounce back faster than she did. However, it did cement the fact that she came from a very different background than Eric and was quite naive about many things. I enjoyed Effie and Josiah's storyline a lot. It was fun to reconnect with quite a few characters from previous novels. This was an uplifting and fun Christmas book to read.

A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft concludes the Amish Brides of Pinecraft series by Shelley Shepard Gray, and it sure is a wonderful ending to this series. While Beverly Overholt, the manager of the Orange Blossom Inn, is out in town running errands, something awful happens at the inn. She calls Eric, the owner, who drops everything to head to FL to be with her during this mess. This bad event brings to light things in Eric's past that Beverley needs to get through in order to expand their relationship. Josiah and Effie also have a budding friendship in this last book. The respect these children have for each other is what this world needs. Friendship, faith, love, and trust are seen throughout this story. The morals written in this story by Shelley Shepard Gray can be followed all year long, not just at Christmas. This book can be read as a stand alone book, but I'd say to read the entire series. That way you can get to know the characters better.

The last book in the Amish Brides of Pinecraft series was worth the wait. Manager of the Orange Blossom Inn, Beverly Overholt faces a challenge this holiday season. Inn owner Eric comes to help her, but his feelings are more than platonic. Beverly learns about Eric's past but even that is a good thing because it can help two local boys. Will Eric and Beverly admit their true feelings? Will this be a holiday to remember in Pinecraft? Shelley's characters feel like my friends and I was eager to catch up with them. Beverly has done a lot of maturing throughout the series and especially this book. I'm sad to be done with the series but the ending was great. I'm part of Shelley's group "The Buggy Bunch" and received a complimentary copy but I also purchased a copy.

What a wonderful end to a fantastic series!! I am so sad to see Pinecraft, and all of these marvelous characters come to an end. I am so glad that I will be able to return to Pinecraft as often as I need to with these books in my collection. This book mostly deals with the lovely, Beverly Overholt and the ongoing friendship/relationship she shares with Eric Wagler. Together they run the Orange Blossom Inn. Eric is the owner, and Beverly is the manager. At the start of this book the Orange Blossom Inn has been broken into and robbed. Beverly has just returned home from running errands when she sees the police in front of the Inn. After answering questions and the police finally leaving she contacts Eric, who promises to be on the first flight out of Philadelphia to be with her. As the story progresses this robbery has caused the whole town of Pinecraft to wonder how something like this could have happened in their close knit community. Things like robbery and break-ins don't happen here. But this robbery has brought many people to come together to help each other overcome their own troubled pasts and brings healing to broken relationships. It causes people to reach out to others and let forgiveness triumph over adversity. I loved everyone in this book. I enjoyed the relationship between Beverly and Eric finally blossom. I enjoyed the young friendship of Effie and Josiah, and my heart went out to Josiah and his brother, Peter. This story makes you stop and think what you would do for love for another, and not let the sins of your past dictate your future. One of my favorite scenes in the book is when Beverly is talking to Eric and basically says that she let a bad experience become the focal point of her life. She let this experience define who she was. To me those are some powerful statements. I am afraid if I keep going I will ruin the whole book, and I don't want to ruin it for any of you. Just know that if you decide to give this book a chance you will not be disappointed. It is truly a beautiful story of redemption, forgiveness and love. Bravo, Shelley!!

So it has been a while since I have read an Amish/Mennonite romance, which is guess is pretty ironic as I live close to one of the biggest settlements in America, but I guess I have been so wrapped up in contemporary and historical romances that I forgot about this subgenre. But then I saw this story and I don’t know why, but the story seemed to speak to me. SO I delved into this book and I am so very glad that I did as this book opened my eyes up to what I had been missing. The Christmas bride in Pinecraft is really three stories in one, but they are all tied in together. But I am only going to tell you about our main characters and leave the rest as a surprise. So we start with one of our main characters Beverly Overholt. Beverly runs the Orange Blossom Inn and has done for the past 3 years since her Aunts death, at one time she thought she owned the whole business, but that turned out to be untrue and she was shocked to find out that englisher Eric Wagler owned the building. But this was 3 years later and she has not only become very comfortable with her role of manager and her relationship with Eric has blossomed too. But now Beverly has to call Eric in Philadelphia to tell him that the inn had been robbed! Eric has been in love with Beverly since he met her that one fateful day, when he inherited the inn and now he is selling up his life in Pennsylvania and moving to Pinecraft to see if Beverly cares for him. But Eric has secrets of the past that will come back to haunt him and possibly destroy any feelings Beverly has for him. But this is a Christmas story and Christmas is a time of forgiveness, happiness and good will to all men and Eric, Beverly and the people of Pinecraft are reminded of that and good things come from such sorrow. I have not read a Pinecraft story before, but it honestly didn’t matter one little bit! This story is truly a standalone and I love every minute of it! This book really does remind you of humility and that not everything is as it seems. I honestly loved every single one of the characters in this book, because they honestly didn’t feel like characters in a book, but friends that are a vital part of my life! So, down to the basics; the story was beautifully written, with no potholes and flowed smoothly. The book really provokes you to this about the hardships of people, not only in the story, but also in real life, but she does it in such an amazing way that it leaves you breathless and filled with joy by the end of the story. The Christmas Bride in Pinecraft is such an enchanting book and that is why I give it 10 out of 10!

A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft Though it is sad to see this series come to a close it is a joy to see the resolution in the lives of the characters we have grown to care about. Yes, there will be a wedding! But there are always unexpected obstacles. You will watch Beverly grow in character while working through her fears. Josiah and his brother Peter have an important role in the lives of our small cast of Pinecraft. I liked seeing more of Effie and find myself wanting her to have her own story! This was a book I could easily have read in one sitting, if life would permit. It is fast paced and an enjoyable read.

There has been a break in at the Orange Blossom Inn! Things like that never happen in peaceful Pinecraft! Not only was the Inn a wreck but Beverly was too. That a robbery could and did happen took away her sense of security. She was angry and also afraid, a feeling she wasn’t used to. This is the last book in the Pinecraft series and I’m sad to see the series end. I so enjoyed sharing in the lives of our Pinecraft friends and I will miss them. We’ve shared in their sadness and joy. We’ve made new friends. We’ve come together to help others… even looking for their pets. We’ve celebrated at weddings. This time we watch Beverly deal with her fears and Eric try to bring her a sense of calm again. We see an unusual friendship blossom between young Josiah Yoder, whose mother died and whose father leaves him and his older brother Peter alone and hungry for days at a time, and young Effie Hilty who we met in A Wedding at Orange Blossom Inn. The loss of the material things at the Inn can be fixed. Things can be replaced. Will Beverly ever be the same again? Will she always be afraid the robber(s) might return? What of Christmas? Has Christmas been ruined because of the robbery? What happens to the Yoder boys? They can’t continue to live in a house with no food. Whose wedding are we celebrating in this final book? You’ll want to pick up this well written book by New York Times and USA best-selling author Shelley Shepard Gray to find out! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you Shelley for another wonderful read!!

This is a beautiful story of friendship and a reminder that dreams really do come true. Not always on our own time but in God's time. Beverly has had a rough go of it. First, her fiance falls in love with her best friend. Then, the inn she thinks belongs to her turns out to belong to an Englisher. She forges a fragile relationship with the Englisher,Eric, but just when it seems like she is ready to trust and maybe even love again her faith will be put to the test. I really enjoyed this book! Beverly was so real she could be anybody I know. As a matter of fact, I had to keep reminding myself this was a fictional character and not a friend of mine. By the end of the series they all feel like friends you've known your whole life. I hate to leave Pinecraft but I know I will visit again and again as I re-read the series and share the stories with my friends.

Another wonderful book of the Pinecraft brides and this one is the last of the series. I got to know these characters, some of them pretty well and it is hard to let them go! Especially Beverly Overholt who runs The Orange Blossom Inn who has been in all the five books. What a sweet lady who has been so careful with her feelings as well as so helpful to many people. In the beginning there is a serious break-in that scared Beverly since she is often alone and she felt so vulnerable. I can relate to that since that happened to me years ago and I remember that terrible feeling. I had no one to help me. Beverly called the owner and Eric came to her rescue! And the adventure was only beginning! This book lets us look into the Simple life of the Amish with respect.

“A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft,” is the fourth and final book in the series, Amish Brides of Pinecraft, by Shelley Shepard Gray. It is a perfect read right in time for Christmas! Beverly Overholt is shocked to return home to her Inn with police cars lined up outside. The quaint and lovely Orange Blossom Inn has been robbed a few weeks before Christmas! She cannot even begin to fathom who would commit such a crime so close to Christmas. She contacts Eric Wagler, the Inn’s owner. He hops on the next flight down to Florida from Pennsylvania. As Eric and Beverly sort through things, trying to pick up the pieces and move on, Beverly is introduced to Eric’s surprising past. Will Beverly be able to look beyond everything that Eric has done and continue with the strong friendship they once had? Will the police catch the suspect in the robbery? Grab yourself a cup of hot cocoa and settle in for a day of reading this beautifully written novel. You will enjoy reading every minute of this book!

An emotionally charged Christmas story that can be enjoyed any time of the year. I loved the story of forgiveness and mercy that was woven throughout the book. This was well written. A Christmas bride in Pinecraft is the fourth book in the series. It can stand alone but will be enjoyed more if the series is read in the correct order. I hate to see this series end. I loved all the characters and felt like I was right there in Pinecraft. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another great installment in the Amish Brides of Pinecraft! This is the story of Beverly and Eric. Beverly was shocked to find out that the inn she thought she had inherited from her aunt actually belonged to Eric. When the inn is robbed at Christmastime, Eric rushes to Pinecraft to help comfort Beverly. This is a beautiful story of how two different people can find common ground, and love. Amish Brides of Pinecraft is a wonderful series, and you will not want to miss A Christmas Bride in Pincraft.

We are back at the Orange Blossom Inn and unfortunately when the book open it is with police cars and neighbors surrounding the building. Beverly Overholt’s beloved Inn has been broken in to, and the emotions she is feeling bring her down. Eric Wagler, who I feel has deep feelings for Beverly, the owner of the Inn immediately heads from Pennsylvania to Florida. He has such a calming effect on Beverly, although they like to bicker. There are deep secrets here, and life parallels that will surprise you and in the end warm your heart. There is a lot going on here and we are reunited with a lot of our beloved characters from this series, including Frankie. Will Beverly ever feel safe again, will she find her way back to herself, and more important will she let God lead her life as she has always done? Will she be able to forgive all that has happened and find a way back to the sweet caring person she is? I received this book from Edelweiss and the Publisher Avon Inspired, and was not required to give a positive review.
