I really enjoyed this series!

This was a good story. Ali is on the run, and crosses paths with Adam when he buys her mother's camera from the pawn shop before she has a chance to get it back. Adam is in need of help at home now that he has custody of his niece, so they strike up a deal so she can get her camera back. Adam, Ali, and Carrie (the niece) were all wonderful characters. I really enjoyed how this story was written, and how the suspense of not knowing why she was running hung on right up until the end. Even with so many unknowns about her past, I got attached to her character right away.

Ali has a past secret she needs to stay one step ahead of. When it seems all she wants to do is stop and find a place to belong. Adam would rather be left to his own devices but now he has his niece to care for and she's the most important person ever. Can they both find the answers they seek or will it all blow up in there faces? I love that this book was not always on the edge of your seat but has a moment were you are literately hanging on to every last work just to find out what is going to happen. I really enjoy coming back and visiting the fun characters of Marietta Montana and this book did not disappoint in any way on catching up with them. I had fun reading about Adam's strong personality and how it did not overwhelm the story and I loved how Ali was a fighter and a super independent. The author did an amazing job and keeping you guessing through out the book and I totally loved Carrie. Carrie is one of those characters who has a tough exterior with a beautiful heart and spirit she was one of my favorites. There is adult language and one adult scene but other then that a super fun read.

This is a great love story with all the sly looks, should I give it a chance you love in a romance. Throw in some baggage from your past that could break the deal and you have a great read! The ending could of been more detailed and suspenseful but still worth checking out.

A Cowboy To Keep is the 4th book in the Canadays Of Montana series! On the run from her past, Ali Thibeaux has a plan to find her half-sister, Olivia and leave before hurting anyone. With her plans to photograph Olivia's wedding and leave town shortly after, she is forced to pawn her beloved camera before that happens. It's when she goes to recover her camera that she realizes that it's been sold and as she discovers who has her camera, nothing will go as planned. Adam Wolfe is raising his teenage niece, Carrie after both of her parents died and thought having a camera would get Carrie out of her shell. With Ali wanting her camera back, Adam offers her the job of being his house-sitter which she reluctantly takes. As they learn to live with each other and start to fall in love, Ali's past comes back to haunt her until the moment that she takes a stand to finish what was started and she can finally have her happy ending that she deserves! I have to say that being that this was the 4th book in this series, you don't get the feeling of having to read the other 3 books until the very end when it feels like this is the last book in this series. You can't help but to admire a single man like Adam who is raising a teenage girl who lost her parents and his sister, that takes a very special man to want to do something like that! Overall, this was a good read that can be read in about 2 hours that will make you want to go read the other books just to see what has happened before this book! Thank You to Barbara Ankrum for writing a book that introduced me to your style of writing and I can't wait to see what is next!! When Ali Thibeaux realizes her late mothers camera that she pawned was sold she thinks all hope is lost until help comes from an unlikely source. Adam Wolfe is only looking for someone to help him with cooking and cleaning after he took his niece in to raise. When he mistakes Ali as a candidate he offers her the job not expecting any complications. When an attraction begins between the two can the keep everything professional or will the attraction win out? I liked this book all the way till the last chapter where i felt it ended abruptly. I enjoyed the main characters and how well they were written.

Having spent the last couple years on the run, photographer Ali Thibeaux ends up in Marietta where her half-sister (who doesn’t know about her) lives. When Ali needs some cash, she ends up pawning her camera. When Ali finds out rancher Adam Wolfe bought her camera, she seeks him out in hopes he will sell it back to her. When Ali shows up at Adam’s ranch looking for her camera, he mistakes her as an applicant for the job of housekeeper and companion for his niece. They strike up a deal, Ali takes the job in return she gets her camera. In the end Ali and Adam needed each other as much more than they knew. I enjoyed this book. The story pulled me in from the start. I could tell the characters and plot were well thought out. The story rolled along at a good pace. Even though this book is part of a series, it can also be read on its own.

A Cowboy to Keep is the fourth book in the The Canadays of Montana series. Running from her past, Ali ends up in Marietta. After pawning her prized possession, she finds herself making a deal with a rancher. Will she be able to hide from her past? Or will the ranch not be enough to keep her hidden? What else may she find? This story was one of those you just cannot put down. I highly recommend it!

I truly enjoyed A Cowboy to Keep by Barbara Ankrum, the fourth book in her Canadays of Montana series. Drifter Ali Thibeaux arrives in Marietta to find her biological half-sister and photograph Olivia’s wedding. All before Ali can be found by her stalker and endanger those around her. There is much more to Adam Wolfe than being a rancher with burn scars. He hires Ali to manager his household, cook and help with his fourteen year old niece, Carrie. Ali is not deterred by Adam’s scars and lets him know. Also, she is able to relate and understand Carrie as she too lost her mother at a similar age. Adam believes that Ali is not telling the entire truth about her situation and tries to learn the truth before it’s too late. There is definitely chemistry and attraction between these two who are unsure about acting on it. Ali trusts no one and is torn about trusting Adam. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. Ms. Ankrum is a wonderful storyteller and she drew me into this story, not letting me go until I read the last page. I definitely recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Ali a photographer, is on the run and arrives in Marietta to find her half biological sister. She had to sell her camera and now Adam has bought it, all she wants is her camera back but Adam has different ideas. Adam is a recluse, raising his niece. He hires Ali to be a nanny and help around the house. Soon Ali has turned the house into a home. Loved how Ali and Adam's relationship built and grew. Loved Carrie, Ali was so patient and good with her. How can you not love Boomer the dog, love animals in the story. With an element of mystery on why Ali is the run, makes for a perfect read. Love the Canadays!

LOVED this story!! Ali Thibeauxis on the run and hiding from her past. When she shows up at Adam Wolfe's ranch hoping to find her camera she stumbles upon not only a job but a great place to hideaway. Adam is gruff and reclusive but he needs her help with his niece. So the three of them settle into a nice comfortable arrange with the attraction between Adam and Ali growing everyday. Things seem perfect until Ali's past catches up to her. A great read you shouldn't miss. I recommend it.

I have to preface by saying that I am sorry I didn’t read the previous books of this series. I felt there were gaps in understanding the relationships between the main and secondary characters which was a key point in this book. Therefore , my suggestion is that you should read the books in sequence for a better understanding of the plot. All that said, it was a very well written story. Both the plot and the main characters, Ali and Adam as well as Carrie, were well developed ,and engaging. The story revolves around Ali, who has become a fugitive , Adam, a recluse rancher and his niece Carrie. Both whom carry scars inside and out. They meet when Adam has bought a camera Ali had pawned and she goes to his home to buy it back. While he inadvertently thinks she is applying for the housekeeper position they strike a bargain and she gets the job. Aside from the main story it is also a story about second chances in life. About trust and love. A quote from the book i really loved is “ Happiness seeks you out if you let it “. So very true and finding that happiness with someone you trust and love, will make the world of a difference. I was gifted this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I love meeting new minds by reading new-to-me authors and I truly did enjoy reading this book. I came into the series later than I like to BUT had no trouble following the story or meeting people that no doubt have been introduced previously. I like this author’s style and look forward to reading more of her work in the future. So…in this story Ali is on the run BUT she also wants to at least look in on the only family she has left – family that has no idea she exists. She has just been disappointed trying to reclaim something she pawned so heads off to find out if there is a way to appeal to the person who purchased the item that is one of her last ties to her mother and in so doing she is offered a job she cannot refuse – for a number of reasons. Who offered her the job? Adam Wolfe. Adam is a rancher but oh so much more than that. He has taken in his niece, has completely changed his line of work, is scarred (in more ways than one) and a wonderful person underneath it all. Carrie, the niece, has suffered great losses in her lifetime and has much to work through. With Ali and Adam she is able to eventually emerge a bit at a time from underneath the heavy weight she is carrying. Of course the bad guy is still lurking in the background, Ali’s family is still clueless and there is romance building. Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.
