All she wants for Christmas is a fake fiancé...
Just once Hayley Bennett would like to spend the holidays at her parents' house without feeling as if she's stepped onto the set of The Bachelorette. Her mom's been planning her wedding since the day she was born, but thirty years later, Hayley hasn't come up with a groom. Or has she?

Air Force vet and Southerner Badger Calhoun is delighted to be Hayley's seatmate on the flight from Denver to Eagles Nest. He's visiting his buddy Ryker McGavin for the holidays, but when he discovers Hayley needs a guy she can present to her marriage-minded momma as her fiancé, he's all in. Pretending to be her devoted boyfriend is a no-brainer. He can't resist helping a beautiful damsel in distress.

But when the holiday ends, can he just walk away?

About the Author

New York Times bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson’s love affair with cowboys started with the Lone Ranger, continued through Maverick, and took a turn south of the border with Zorro. She views cowboys as the Western version of knights in shining armor, rugged men who value honor, honesty and hard work. Fortunately for her, she lives in the Arizona desert, where broad-shouldered, lean-hipped cowboys abound. Blessed with such an abundance of inspiration, she only hopes that she can do them justice.

A Cowboy's Holiday (The McGavin Brothers Book 12) by Vicki Lewis Thompson .... I can't get enough of this series and these people...Vicki makes me feel like I am part of this group of people and I can't thank her enough for letting me preview this book. It was so much fun spending time with all my old friends.. welcoming Noel...Josh and all his cuteness ... This was Pete and Taryn's story and it was full of laughs, love, steamy sex and of course a very HEA.. I remember going to the barn at my Grandparents to see if the cows would talk at midnight...they never did... also I don't want this series to end... will Brenden and Jo get a story? Reasons I enjoyed this book: Easy-to-read Entertaining Funny Happily Ever After Page-turner Romantic Steamy Wonderful characters

Badger and Hailey charmed me from the first page and kept getting better the more pages you turned. Their engagement of convenience was well-played and believable. It was fun getting to know Badger after all the previous references. Hailey was a trooper; I think I would have had a talk with her mom long before she did. This was classic Vicki Lewis Thompson and I enjoyed every minute. What I want to know is how do I find a Badger in the Denver airport? I voluntary reviewed an ARC of this novel.

A wonderful, fun story of chivalry and a matchmaker mother. Badger is heading to Eagles Nest to visit his war buddy. Hayley is, reluctantly, on her way to Eagles Nest for her families' annual Christmas celebration, where she anticipates her mother's, unwanted, matchmaking efforts. They meet when he rescues her from unwanted advances. Then, he continues to save her from her mom. What comes of this is a sexy, fun, warm story of deep friendship and a building love.

Sweet and Sexy 4.5* When it comes to jumping into the deep end with regard to a situation, that is the way Badger Calhoun always operates. His impulsive idea, to pretend to be in a committed relationship with a girl he has only just met, so that her mother won’t fix her up on awkward dates over the holiday period, makes perfect sense to him. His close buddy Ryker McGavin is convinced that it will all blow up in his face. The supposed relationship means Hayley and Badger spending a lot of time together and the chemistry between them, along with a matchmaking momma, escalates matters. Can a true relationship work between them however, when he lives in Atlanta and she in Denver? Plus Badger never opens up about his family; what secrets is he hiding? Standalone story but you get to meet up with the McGavin’s as secondary characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

I have come to love this series of the McGavin brothers. Brave and honorable men back home in Eagle’s Nest making a life and finding their significant others. Ryker McGavin’s friend and silent partner of Badger Aviation, has come to visit him. Badger meets Hayley at the Denver airport . They end up sitting together on their flight to Eagle’s Nest. Hayley wants to visit her family but her mother’s matchmaking attempts are making her dread the visit. Badger offers to be her “fake” boyfriend so she is not harassed. But as we know , the best laid plans tend to go haywire, and this one certainly does. Especially as the story gets complicated and feelings are starting to develop. The story was engaging and both the main characters , as well as the secondary characters, like her parents, were well developed. It’s a stand alone story, but if you have read the previous books, you get a chance to catch up on the lives of those characters. A nice addition for the holiday season or anytime of the year. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

What a sweet, funny sexy read! A great follow up to the McGavins series. Badger is a bit over the top as a Southern boy but you can't help being taken in by his swagger, gallantry and manners. A true gentleman....and as blazing hot as the Georgia summer heat. Hayley is a sweet gal from a loving family... who lives in Colorado and visits her parents only once a year to avoid her wedding planner mom's continual efforts to set her up with me! She loves 'em bout dreads it because of her mom's meddling. They exchange glances in the airport while waiting to board plane for Montana. Then, he rescues her from some unwanted guy's attention and they learn they're headed for the same town. A rude passenger's behavior turns to their advantage; he offers her his seat so he can sit with Hayley. He cooks up a scheme that will end her matchmaking mama's plan and means he gets to spend time with her while visiting her former Air Force buddy Ryker's family over the holidays. I really enjoyed getting to know this thoughtful pair and observe their connection grow. Another great read from VLT. * Thanks for the ARC. It's easy to render an honest review.
