About the Author

USA Today Best Selling Author, Leighann Dobbs, has had a passion for reading since she was old enough to hold a book, but she didn't put pen to paper until much later in life. After a twenty year career as a software engineer with a few side trips into selling antiques and making jewelry, she realized you can't make a living reading books, so she tried her hand at writing them and discovered she had a passion for that too! She lives in New Hampshire with her husband Bruce, their trusty Chihuahua mix Mojo and beautiful rescue cat, Kitty.

Each series by this author is terrific - the only problem is that I read faster than Ms Dobbs can write!

Wonderful. Just wonderful!

This was a fun read even though about murder. The loyalty between the islanders makes you want to move there. The friendly rivalry between Claire and Dom is sweet and becomes more of a respect in each other's skill set in solving crimes. Loved the characters and the setting!

Too much boring detail. I found myself skimming over LOTS of prargraphs just to get past it. Made for a fast read but not a satisfying one. Easy to pick out who dunnit very early in the story. Really, don't waste your time; there many more cozy mysteries out there with creative plots and interesting characters.

Good book; easy read. Characters and plot are well developed.

I found the plot interesting, and it is a fast read, but the writing style leaves a lot to be desired. The characters are poorly developed, and there is a lot of repetition of basic character information, which gets boring. I tended to skim over a LOT of the text without feeling like I was missing anything. A very light fast cozy mystery that's okay just to kill some time. JB

Not a lot of murder clues on an island with mainly long time family friends and Summer visitors.
