This book is a great gift for any football enthusiast. With an ear for the language and tempo of the times, Bodanza tells the tale just the way those who were there still remember it. He brings to life both the violence and poetry of an age where young men had no other place to be gladiators. Despite his focus on his home town, this book has univeral appeal. It is not just the story of two local towns, but of American neighbors and rivals every where.
