Returning to Christmas Town introduces us to Gloria Chavez. She is in town to help her best friend, Savannah, who is about to give birth to her and Kurt's first child. Gloria knows that Savannah is trying desperately to match her up with Kurt's brother, Walt, but Gloria's convinced that she can resist. After all, she's got her life in Miami. Right? Walt Christmas has been a widow for 10 years. His twin daughters are now grown and in college. But, is he really ready to date again? Get married again? He knows that his sister in law is trying to get him together with her best friend, but his heart is still with his former wife, Rose. Can he really say good bye to Rose and love another? When Gloria shows up in Christmas Town, Walt's Christmas magic goes haywire and he's determined to figure out what's going wrong and how to handle it. As far as Gloria is concerned, she's drawn into Walt's presence like a magnet. But, she's determined to figure out a logical explanation. What follows is a cute story of mild magical elements and gentle romance. Even though the events themselves happen rather quickly, I didn't get a sense that the romance is rushed. The magic surrounding them is a compelling reason to believe in it. Romance - Steamy PG. There is implied / closed door romance and kissing. Language - clean My rating - 5 stars.

Christmas Town is a magical place. It's filled with love, laughter and holiday spirit. Walt Christmas is feeling lost. His wife passed years ago and his girls are grown and ready to start their own life. Can he find a new path? Walt is irresistible. He made me laugh with his magical problems. He's handsome and good hearted. He just needs to get back in the dating game. Gloria Chavez is a distraction that makes Walt yearn for a chance to date this stunning lady. She's smart and sassy and she challenges him. I loved seeing them together. These two made me laugh. I wanted them to get their HEA. It's nice to catch up with other familiar characters. I loved waiting for Savannah to have her baby. This series always makes me feel happy. A Glorious Christmas is my favorite. I loved that Walt and Gloria were older. I was glad that Ginny Baird wrote a romance with mature characters. After all love and passion aren't just for the young. The touch of magic makes this story very special. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

I love this series!!! Walt and Gloria make one spunky couple!!! Walt is trying to guard his heart but his "talents" won't let him. Gloria isn't quite sure what to make of him and the things she is "seeing". She is spunky. I always feel like I am in Christmas Town - great descriptions. We really get to know Liz better and are introduced to Gloria's brother. Excited to read their book.

Ginny Baird’s Christmas Town series is one of my favorite holiday series. Ginny has this ability to capture the spirit of Christmas and make the reader feel it, even when it’s the middle of summer. The series centers around three families in the fictional town of Christmas Town, Tennessee. To say the town is magical would be an understatement. But I don’t want to go into too much detail. Honestly, with each book I read, I discover more and more about the characters. I loved that I was drawn in immediately with a magical meet cute between Bed and Breakfast owner Walt Christmas and Gloria Chavez, a high school drama teacher from Miami. Gloria is in town to help out her best friend Savannah Christmas, who happens to be Walt’s sister-in-law. Of course with this being Christmas Town, everyone from Savannah to Walt’s mother wants to set these two up and marry them off to each other. Walt has been raising his two college-age twin daughters as a single father, since the death of his wife ten years ago. He hasn’t had a desire to date or be with another woman since. Gloria isn’t truly looking for anyone. She’s dated in the past but no one has really and truly captured her attention and made her heart beat in double time. All of this changes when Gloria arrives on Walt’s doorstep. For me, I found it to be refreshing that Walt and Gloria were older characters, in their mid-thirties and early forties. I liked watching these two fight their feelings for each other. But I loved when they gave into their feelings and allowed the magic surrounding them to take over. I know I keep using the word “magic” to describe this book and the series, but once you start reading, you will understand what I’m talking about. I also love that Ginny has written a true series, where past couples still make appearances and you’re able to see how their lives are progressing. I truly believe that this bordering on sweet, closed door romance can be read as a standalone. I’m looking forward to the next book, as the main characters aren’t part of the founding families of the town. I want to see how Ginny makes their coming together and falling in love magical. **I received a copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**

Book 5 in the Christmas Town series quickly starts with Walt realizing that Gloria has awakened the family’s special Christmas magic. Those readers who aren’t familiar with the series might have a little trouble following references to past romantic happenings but it’s only a few minor points. This is a charming love story between the reluctant widower and the single lady who didn’t expect to find love. There are so many engaging moments. The reader gets to see how Christmas magic works to make a perfect match between Walt and Gloria along with some hilarious side effects. Highlighting the Christmas season and relationships, a little magic and love is the extra bit required for a happy ending. I received an ARC to review. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a great romance!

Every book I read in this series makes me fall in love with the town and families even more than I did. The beauty and whimsy of the town is portrayed so vividly and the families are so caring and loving.  Walt Christmas has never dreamed of falling in love again. Being a widower for ten years and with two grown daughters he's happy, albeit lonely sometimes with his life. Until Gloria walks in and turns his world upside down. Things and gifts he hasn't felt in years burst out of nowhere and he hasn't a clue how to get a handle on it. Gloria wanted to be there for her bestie Savannah when her baby is born. And with Savannah singing Walt's praises she's already nervous to stay at the inn. But her first sight of Walt kind of knocks her for a loop. And his eyes. What they do to her. But she has a life and brother in Florida she is going back to.  Walt and Gloria have a very spontaneous and passionate attraction. But she notices some very strange behavior with him. Boy did he love cookies. And they seem to appear out of nowhere. But she can't seem to stay away from him and his drowning eyes. Things seem to progress rapidly and with their feelings so vibrant they can't stay away from one another. But can Walt make Gloria see that he's not a crazy man and he's ready to move on with life and love with her? Will Gloria be able to make her life with Walt of will she leave for Florida leaving them both brokenhearted?!?  I loved this story and always look forward to another installment.can't wait to see more!!

A Glorious Christmas is the fifth installment from Ginny Baird’s Christmas Town series. What a fun and delightful story! Like the other books in the series, this one made me giggle throughout. The author sure knows how to write a good, clean and heartwarming romance, with a side of humor. Walt and Gloria go on an adventure they never saw coming. I thought they were the perfect pair when they were in the same scenes together. I give A Glorious Christmas 5 plus stars and highly recommend it! I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

I loved Gloria and Walt’s story!! Gloria brought out the magic in Walt. Literally. It was hilarious to watch Walt as he tried to suppress that magic and his attraction to Gloria. He was adorable! Then, when he decided to just accept what was happening – oh, my! That man knows how to woo a woman!! But it wasn’t all about romance. I loved the deeper moments and understanding between them. I also loved the support they received from Walt’s daughters, especially Noelle. It was great to be back in Christmas Town! I felt like I was right there, seeing everything with Gloria. The descriptions of the inn, the town and the shops were vivid and made everything come to life. I also felt pulled into the friendships and love that the people there have for each other. Christmas Town truly is a special place! This is the fifth book in the series, but can be read and enjoyed without reading the other books. However, you may understand some things that happen better if you read those first. But whether you start here or earlier in the series, you’ll fall in love with Christmas Town and its’ inhabitants! I received a copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

As summer heats up it was nice to return to Christmas Town where the feeling of Christmas is present all year round. This was the sweet story of Walt Christmas, widower and father of twin girls - well women now. In all the years since his wife's death Walt has never been interested in another woman. Then Gloria Chavez blows into town from Miami and his whole world seems to be turned upside down. Gloria is only in Christmas Town to help her friend Savannah prepare for the birth of her child. Getting distracted by Walt Christmas was never part of the plan but it could turn out to be the best part of her trip. I definitely recommend this one.

Cute, sweet, and just plain fun reading, this new addition to the Christmas Town series is a delight. This is Walt Christmas and Gloria Chavez’s story. Gloria visits Christmas Town from her home in Miami to help her friend Savannah with the last couple of weeks of her pregnancy. Gloria stays at the Christmas Inn, where Walt lives with Noelle, one of his two twin 21-year-old daughters. Magic happens when Gloria meets Walt. This book is sweet, light, funny, and whimsical. I even shed some tears in the end, although I laughed a lot more. I suggest that you do not have any candy near you when you read this, or it will disappear, and not by magic. For me, I indulged in Kisses with almonds. This author writes with a lot of enthusiasm, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. [I received an early copy of this book and I reviewed it voluntarily.]
