As a former expat, all I could think as I was reading Katia's work was: Why wasn't this around when I lived abroad? It's helpful on so many levels, and could have saved me a great deal of time, grief, and most importantly money in my own adventures around the world. Katia is a master researcher, and the information in this book is up-to-date and relevant. What I loved the most were the case studies, real stories about real people all over the world managing the ups and downs of being an expat. Katia also shines for me around how to care for children through the transition of moving countries. Love this book! If you're an expat, it's a must-read
