About the Author

A Michigander, Edith Andersen, is an author of four children's books. "When I write," Edith explains, "I want the child to relate or like the characters enough where the outcome matters to them. They want to know what happens next." Her three other books are Flat Grandma, Tumi the Dragon, and An Angel is Born. After teaching for thirty years and adding nine granddaughters and one grandson, Edith spends her time reading, playing the piano, knitting, and gardening.

Jorunn Andersen lives in Hveragerdi in Iceland. She has three children and four grandchildren. A Home for Naughty Puppy was born when her granddaughter JE wanted to hear a story about a puppy-a naughty puppy. "Making up stories for children, I want it to be fun. There are no hidden lessons. I just want them to enjoy the story." Jórunn retired in 2011 from her work at a nursing home and like her sister, Edith, is loving retirement and the many opportunities they have to give to others.

The sisters agree that after after a childhood enriched by their love of books, creating books together in the later years to support children is as good as it gets. Like.
