A Love Denied

1815: Felix, Earl of Chando, sets out to engage a suitable companion for his much-loved mother. He finds her in Miss Phoebe Allen, whose charm and good nature win him over. Once at Elwood, Phoebe also takes on the muddled household accounts, and advises Felix on how he can save the ailing estate. Felix finds himself falling in love with her - but he is determined never to marry, as he fears there is bad blood in his family. Will Phoebe change his mind?
