Needed: A nanny in time for Christmas!

Christian Danser keeps his home at the Broken Arrow Ranch just as his late wife left it: cozy and orderly.  With an early winter settling in and the ranch shorthanded, he needs a nanny ASAP.

When Noelle Forrester finds herself unexpectedly unemployed, she and her young son are facing eviction. An ad for a live-in nanny appears to be the answer to her prayers. Until she comes face-to-face with Christian—the sexy yet irritating cowboy who cost Noelle her previous job!

Christian resists hiring the beautiful but failed waitress. She’s too young, too busy, and far too tempting. Nonetheless, when his daughter takes a shine to Noelle, he reconsiders. But when Noelle’s holiday cheer conflicts with Christian’s avoidance of the holiday, sparks fly. Somehow, Noelle has to open Christian’s heart to the spirit of Christmas…or she and her son will be homeless by the New Year.

A beautiful, sweet story - with the Christmas theme that Christmas is the season of HOPE. I loved this book. And I loved the occasional appearances of other Whistle Stop characters and the feeling of community that was still able to be woven into the story of Christian and Noelle. And isn't ever-so-appropriate that the "heroine's" name was Noelle. The Whistle Stop books never fail to make your heart feel lighter. Of course, all of the books written by Jennifer Faye make me feel good.

4 1/2 STARS! A delightful holiday trip back to Whistle Stop, New Mexico! Jennifer Faye weaves a bit of magic every time we step into her next small town spiel. The characters are well developed, the plot is attention grabbing, and there is humor mixed in with angst as we watch this woman try to heal this broken man so his daughter can start to truly have her father whole again. Great story! Rancher Christian Danser likes organization in his life, and he's convinced that nothing in his life or his house should change from the way his late wife left it. When he finds himself in need of a nanny for his little girl right before Christmas, he tries to resist hiring the best option that comes to the door even though his daughter seems to have taken a shine to her right off the bat. He can't possibly hire such a young, attractive woman to live in his house ... can he? Noelle Forrester unexpectedly loses her job and is on the hunt for something immediately to make sure she and her son aren't living out on the street. When she answers an ad for a nanny, it brings her face to face with the cowboy who contributed in her losing her job! She doesn't want to work for this guy ,... but how can she turn that little girl who seems to have her heart set on it down?

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I love a book that has Christmas Miracles in it and this one has more than one. Christian and Noelle are great together and have a beautiful chemistry. I love Whistle Stop and glad that we got to go back again. The fact that Noelle brings back the holiday spirit for all of them is amazing and wonderful. I can relate to not having the Christmas Spirit this year and as I was reading this story of Christian his daughter Molly. Noelle and her son Sammy it made me smile and thank about Christmas. I love the way the author writes about the town and how the characters fit into Whistle Stop. This book can be read as I stand alone but all the Whistle Stop books are great.

Another delightful trip to Whistle Stop written by a very talented author! The story line has emotion, sorrow, indecision and determination. The characters have remarkable interactions as Christian and Noelle fight their growing attraction. Will Santa be able to make Molly and Sammy's wish come true? Great holiday story! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

Once again, Ms Faye delights us with a very heartwarming, and touching story. To top it off, it’s a lovely additional for the upcoming Christmas holiday. The story centers around Christian Danser and Noelle Forrester. Christian is a widower and a rancher with a sweet six year old named Molly. A child who not only lost her mother 2 years before, but also lost the Christmas celebration, since her Dad refuses to celebrate it. Noelle is a single Mom to Sam, a 4 year old. She loses her job due to Christian’s intervention in the bar she worked, and is facing eviction. Christian needs a nanny for his daughter, and against his better judgment, or so he thinks, he offers her a temporary job since his daughter seems to be taken by Noelle. It was fun watching these two opposites working things out . One opposed to Christmas because of the memories it brought as well as unwilling to give up his love for his deceased wife, and the other one loving Christmas and all it entails. As the author says in the story , many bumps and potholes will be hit along the way. Will Christian be able to let go of the past and create a future with Noelle and Sammy, or will he miss the chance of loving again, and end up with a family made up of not only Molly , but Noelle and Sammy as well? A story that will touch your heart and will have you wanting them to find their life together. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I was so happy to be back visiting Whistle Stop! A Moment at Christmas is book 5 and although you don’t have to read the series to enjoy, you really are missing out on a wonderful place to visit. Ms. Faye has created a great town that has some characters that will make you laugh, make you smile, make you crazy, and make you want to move to the town, at least it does for me. The story starts off with a peak into the very lonely life of Christian Danser, a widower with a little girl. He lives on his ranch just outside of Whistle Stop, but very much a part of the town – when he isn’t hiding away on the ranch, working very hard to provide a safe, loving environment for his little girl. (Speaking of his daughter, Molly, is a whirlwind in a pint-sized body who will make you sniffle, make you crazy, and make you want to harness all the energy that makes her special!) He needs help with Molly, sort of a nanny/mother figure, but he’s not had much luck with hiring, so far. Very early in the story, Christian meets Noelle Forrester under most unusual circumstances and both their lives are turned upside down from the start. I won’t recap the story but these two need Christmas miracles to help them deal with their own hard, sad pasts and to help make the holidays special for their own children. Yep, Noelle has a little boy named Sammy that is just cute as a button. Ms. Faye has written a holiday story that will make you smile and laugh and just want to sit down with this family and enjoy some holiday spirit. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend.

I love this series and this book is one of the best! These characters just grabbed my heart and wouldn't let go. While little Molly absolutely stole this story the emotional journey Christian is forced to take will steal your heart. After the loss of his wife rancher Christian Danser has emotionally shut down. Sure he gets up everyday, works the ranch, and provides for his daughter but emotionally he's struggling. He should have known that hiring Noelle for the nanny position would be trouble but he didn't realize she would turn his world upside down! These two are so great together and the little family unit they form is so cute. Definitely a book that will leave you with a smile. Even though it's book 5 in a series, it's easily read standalone. I highly recommend it.
