Another wonderful story in the Whistle Stop books, it can be a book that can stand alone but so much better if you read the series from the beginning to you get to read and know about all the wonderful characters of the town and what they are trying to do to revitalize the wonderful town. Bella and Mason are such a wonderful love story, she comes from a background with a lot of heartache and disappoints and he comes from a family that made differences in the town at one time. She loves him but when he decides to run for Mayor she worries that her past will come to harm him and she calls off the wedding, he still loves her and she loves him but both have a lot to fix. Then the wonderful lady who made a difference in her life has to sell her shop Bella has to go to Mason for help. But little did we know there were other things going on. I love Jennifer's story telling and can't wait for the next book.

Bella Nez has been in love with Mason Noble for a large part of her life. Practically everyone in the beautifully rendered town of Whistle Stop, New Mexico was surprised when their engagement was called off. Like Bella, I also wondered if Mason's vision of growth for Whistle Stop required that he run for office. And Bella has such a good heart. When Miss Mabel is going to have to give up her dress shop, she steps in to take over, even if it means making a deal with Mason, and isn't exactly the career her heart desires. Elections can get messy, and there are other factors at play in this heartwarming story of their second chance at love. And while this is part of a long running series, it's not necessary to have read them all to enjoy what Whistle Stop and Faye have to offer in all of these sweet stories.

Another sweet addition to the Whistle Stop series. I felt a bit more honest communication between Mason and Bella would have fixed problems before they began, but .... we're all human. The Whistle Stop series is feel-good reading.

Mason Noble is running for mayor of Whistle Stop. Ex-fiancé, Bella Nez, ended their engagement because she could not handle the public scrutiny of her past and the time Mason spent away on his campaign. Now Miss Mabel’s dress shop is up for sale and Bella wants to buy it, not only to keep the shop open, but to help Miss Mabel who has been like a mother to Bella. The only place she can go for a loan is Mason. Mason agrees but only if Bella will stay by his side through the election to help him win votes. Complicating matters is the fact that Bella is pregnant. Can Mason and Bella work past their differences and do what is best for their future family? This is an enjoyable romance as Bella and Mason reignite old feelings and work out their differences. Conflicts arise, but love prevails with a little negotiation. Whistle Stop is a charming place and a new book is like visiting with old friends.

Bella Nez was deeply in love with Mason Noble, but he became a stranger who only cared about his campaign for Mayor. He worked late and kept secrets. The only thing Bella could do was to break their engagement. Why does love have to hurt so much? Bella is such a warm and loving woman. Her protective attitude toward her mentor, Miss Mable made me like her. Bella is a jewel. She knows the pain of rejection and ridicule from her childhood. Her mother was the town drunk and she had to be strong. Unfortunately she carries deep emotional scars. Mason doesn't understand why all this happened. He protected Bella from the worry of his failing business. Why did she leave? He's a man on a mission. He'll fight for his hometown and for his company. He'll make Bella fall in love with him again. Now an unplanned pregnancy adds more complications. I love seeing Mason realize what his actions had done. He still loves Bella and wants her to be his wife and with their baby become a family. He wins her back with tenderness and love. I fell for him when he bought her the puppy to show her that she will be a great mother. Their chemistry and their deep feelings for each other made me feel good. I wanted them to get their HEA. Visiting Whistle Stop is a treat, the town's people wIll support and stand by their own. They may be struggling with the uncertain economy but they have heart and the will to succeed. Jennifer Faye writes fell good stories. Her characters have great emotional depth. Combine that with an entertaining and solid story and you have a book that's impossible to put down.

I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. This series just keeps getting better. In the beginning a felt that Mason and Bella needed to grow up some and learn to talk to each other about their past and their present and what they what for the future. By the end I was really liking them and I love what Mason did in the end for his family. I love that fact that Bella help teach the girl to paint and it help the girl. Sometimes with kids you have to find that one thing to help them through issues they may have. I like that Bella kept the store open but also dept painting. I like that the author included the wedding in the book and the descriptions were wonderful. Just a great book. I definite must reads. Not only this book but the whole series.

Found this to be a delightful read! The story line is wonderful and the characters are unique. Mason and Bella love each other but find obstacles in their path. One must convince the other that they are better together then apart. Fantastic, romantic read. Loved it! Gifted a copy for an honest review

Bella has been through a lot of adversity in her life. Her mom took off on Bella when she was younger, but thankfully a woman named Miss Mabel took Bella in and thinks of her as a daughter, and Bella thinks of Miss Mabel as a mother. Bella works at Miss Mabel's Dress Shop. When unforeseen circumstances happen and Miss Mabel has to leave the town of Whistle Stop, where they live, she doesn't want to lose the dress shop to strangers. Bella wants to help Miss Mabel out and buy the dress shop, but Bella doesn't have the money. Bella begrudgingly asks her ex-fiance Mason for the loan while she explains the dire situation. Mason is running for Mayor of Whistle Stop and even though he doesn't really have the money for the loan, he agrees on one condition. Bella has to be by his side during political functions. Bella doesn't like being in the spotlight, and because of her past, she doesn't want things to come out that could potentially ruin Mason's chances of winning the election. Knowing she will be helping Miss Mabel, Bella reluctantly agrees. If Bella and Mason can put their past aside and focus on the present, they will be able to work together and it will be a win-win situation for them both. If you like feel good romances, then I highly recommend this book. Jennifer Faye is a phenomenal author. I received this book in exchange for fair and honest review.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. You can read what the book is about online or in the back of the book. What I’d like to tell you about is the town that Ms. Faye has created. In this Book 4, we read about (or as in my case, become “involved” with) Mason Noble – candidate for Mayor – and Bella Nez – former girlfriend of Mason’s. They have a backstory and a real time story, which this book is about, and your heart will go out to both of them. The town itself becomes involved, as it has in the previous three books, and it is that heart that makes this book such a great read. And the characters…! So fun to catch up with the other people in town. This book is a standalone but I just love this series and you would enjoy reading the first three books, too. Ms. Faye has created a destination where the people are warm and small-town welcoming with local hijinks and shenanigans galore. Nothing is secret in a small town! I recommend this book and this series.

This is a wonderful sweet small town romance that will touch your heart in so many ways. Jennifer Faye takes us back to the town of Whistle Stop. A small town who has suffered from the downturn of the economy but is struggling to come back to life. The next mayor will have his hands full and Mason Noble wants to be that man. Unfortunately his ex fiance, Bella Nez, wants nothing to do with a political life so she called off their engagement. As usual in small towns, rumors are flying as to exactly what happened between the two of them. Will Mason win the office without Bella? Does he want to? More importantly how will they deal with her most recent news? You definitely want to read this one and find out. I highly recommend it.

Ms Faye takes us back to the well loved town of Whistle Stop. This time Mason Noble and Bella Nez have their story. The two were engaged and had planned a wedding, but Bella left Mason due to doubts of Mason’s commitments and her own insecurities. Mason is running for mayor of the town in a very tight race. Bella finds herself in the need of money and goes to the only person she can, Mason. They still love each other and now circumstances pushes them together . Can they help each other, can they find their way back to each other, can they trust each other and will they finally have their happy ending? Needless to say, Ms Faye once again excels as a storyteller and showing us life in a small town/ Be advised that though the book is part of a series, it’s a standalone.
