An excellent 2nd installment to the Secrets of the Bayous trilogy! I'm a sucker for trilogies and Meg Hennessy does not disappoint in this series! It is not necessary to have ready book 1 to love book 2, but I'm still glad to have read that one first! If you read this one and liked it, be sure to go back for the first one! I love historicals, mystery and suspense and this novel is perfect for late summer night reading! This is one of those "stay-up-late-reading-because-you-can't-put-down" books! I had tired eyes the next day. The atmosphere created by the author is very real and the character development stellar!
