As Marc encounters the deceptions of his mission, his estranged wife , Dana, is on the trail of a bazaar serial killer that has history with her. This book is certainly fast paced, and unrelenting in its suspenseful twists and turns, well worth your time to grab this book and join Marc and Dana on the journey from a dark distance.
Complete with a break-neck pace, damaged-but-valiant characters, and a wide spectrum of heebie jeebies, “A Savage Distance” is a fantastic read. From Las Vegas to Africa, the quests to stop ritualistic attacks on women and to save a boy hostage take unsuspected detours along the way. Hint: None of Thom Reese’s characters get the easy way out of any predicament (and that makes for even better reading).
A Savage Distance is part international ex-Delta Force mission, part personal-vendetta detective story, and part third-world power struggle with a clear and intriguing look into the hearts of ravaged heroes and many-layered villains alike. Don’t hesitate to read this: your only issue will be finding a stopping place in the story to put it down. Having a very cool looking cover (which you know you judge a book by) doesn’t hurt either!
