A Shard of Glass

Beth is a 22-year -old woman, who when she was 10-year-old, lost her entire family in a fierce snowstorm. She was the only one to escape her family's car that slid off an icy road into an ice-covered lake. When she escaped out one of the side windows of the station wagon, a small shard of glass embedded itself into her lake and after being rescued by a passer-by, Beth is taken to a hospital.
