A Song to Call Ours is the fourth book in the Front Porch Promises series by Merrillee Whren. I have enjoyed all of them, but this one might be my favorite. Amanda Reynolds is set on pursuing her dream of becoming a singer and songwriter in Nashville. Mitch Cunningham loves his small town garage and car repair shop. When the two meet, somethlng has to give. Their attraction gets in the way of their dreams. The author is talented at crafting endearing and realistic characters and putting them in a setting where they can grow and blossom. This is a clean, sweet story brimming with faith and hope. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This fourth book in Merrillee Whren’s Front Porch Series is my favorite. It is not necessary to read the previous books in this series to enjoy this one as each works as a stand-alone novel. However, I have enjoyed all the books in this series and strongly encourage readers of Christian Romance to read all of them! Car problems leave Nashville-bound aspiring singer/songwriter Amanda Reynolds stuck in the small East Tennessee town of Pineydale. Mitchell Cunningham, who owns the local garage, finds her on the side of the road and tows her car to his shop. When it is evident that the car is not worth repairing, Mitch arranges for Amanda to stay with his Aunt Charlotte while she works to save money so that she can continue her journey. Amanda learns that she enjoys the people of Pineydale but is determined that not even her growing feelings for Mitch will derail her dream of making it to Music City. As hard as it is for Mitch, he helps her follow her dream. The two of them experience emotional struggles as they try to balance their feelings for each other against Amanda’s career path. Should Mitch back off and leave Amanda to pursue her music career? Is it possible for Amanda to find a balance between music and life with Mitch? I became immersed in following the ups and downs of their relationship. Of course, I was pulling all along for love to triumph, but wondering how this could happen. As always, I found it refreshing to pick up a well written romance that is not littered with foul language or steamy sex scenes. It is also good to see Christian values interwoven into the relationship between the principal characters. Pick up a copy of this book and get to know the residents of Pineydale. Follow Amanda’s pursuit of her dream and see where it takes her.

A Song to Call Ours is the fourth installment from Merrillee Whren’s fabulous series, Front Porch Promises. I loved it! This is by far my favorite that I have read by this author to date. It has what I love in a book: delightful story, clean and sweet romance, and laugh out loud humor. I would most definitely recommend A Song to Call Ours. It is one not to be missed. I give it 5 plus stars. I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance novel. The fourth story in the Front Porch Promises series, A Song to Call Ours also stands alone nicely. The characters were dynamic and full of heart, questioning how to know when a leading was from God or from their own desires. Amanda frustrated me at times with her spur of the moment decisions and resistance to Mitch. However, she was still a character that I liked and hoped the best for. I thought Mitch was a great guy and empathized with him all throughout the book. And, my goodness, there was one point in the story that the author perfectly captured the heart wrenching feelings that Mitch was experiencing, and I could feel it myself, too. So moving! I’ve enjoyed this entire series and can recommend each of the stories to fans of contemporary romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This series has all been good but A Song to Call Ours is the best yet! Amanda is a great character who is determined to be a Nashville star. Nothing....not even love is going to stop her! Mitch is a caring, Christian man who loves living in the small town of Pineydale, Tennessee and helping out his great aunt Charlotte. Sometimes we have to be patient and let God work out His plans for us! You will love this sweet, contemporary story! I received my e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.

Finding Your Place A Song to Call Ours, by Merrillee Whren is a book about two people who have set plans for what their place in life is to be. That is until they meet. Then life gets complicated. A lovely book that warmed my heart as I read it. Amanda and Mitchell are characters that are real and the story line is real and easy to follow. It kept me wanting to know what’s going to happen next. Great Aunt Charlotte adds her own spice to the book. I liked the inspirational thread that weaves through the story. To me it was a clean book, with a warm story that I enjoyed reading very much. It is book 4 of the Front Porch series but stands on its own story. It is a book that anyone who loves to read Christian fiction would enjoy. I highly recommend it as a five star book.

I really liked this book! It was probably my favorite in the series of Front Porch Promises series. I enjoyed all the books, I just happen to like this one the best, I think! Amanda was a feisty heroine and although she doesn't think things through all the way before she does them, she has big dreams and she doesn't let anything get in her way on her way to achieving them! Until her car breaks down on a road in a small town in Tennessee where Mitchell Cunningham rescues her. It just so happens that he owns the garage in town and will fix her car but it's her daddy's car and she doesn't have the money to fix it....so she's carless, homeless and jobless! Mitch pretty much falls for Amanda right then and there even though he's been burned by love recently and fights his attraction tooth and nail. Amanda wont let anything get in her way of getting to Nashville to become a singer but she has a lots of bumps along the way. These two characters and a host of others in the book quickly became real people to me! I hated seeing the book end! Although Mitch desperately wanted Amanda to stay in his small town, he knew that she needed to follow her dream to Nashville. I was very proud of him for doing that as I knew it broke his heart to do so. A lesson for us all! A great book about dreams and love and caring about others. I highly recommend it!!
