Marina Adair has become one of my favorite authors and loved this book. Jace and Charlotte were great and the scene in the lake was the best. When you add in all of those southern grandmothers and of course Woolamenia and Spencer in a dress you have a wonderful story. There is humor, romance, southern sass and sex. Not sure if there will be another book but JD and Spencer would certainly be very interesting.

I received an ARC copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Charlotte Holden is homesick while doing her medical residency and walks into a bar in Atlanta Georgia and sees Jace McGraw, her bad boy crush from her hometown of Sugar Georgia. After many drinks they end up in bed and married. Jace ends the best three weeks of her life by leaving annulment papers on her pillow and walking out. The marriage is a secret known by only those two and Glory, Charlotte’s best friend and main character of the last book in the series. Fast forward to four years later. Dr. Charlotte Holden is back in Sugar Georgia. She’s tried dating, but her heart has been in an emotional deep freeze due to what happened with Jace. When she walks into a garage to pick up her car that was damaged in a failed matchmaking attempt by her mom, and who does she meet? It’s Jace with the news that they’re still married. At first he wants the annulment, but a little time in her company and he wants a second chance. The resulting story is a pull at your heart strings tale of the two finding their way back to each other and healing from damage by their parents. Charlotte’s parents are manipulative and it’s a wonder she didn’t need therapy due to them. Jace had wonderful parents, but blames himself for their death and has a hard time with visiting his hometown due to self loathing and feeling everyone one else must blame him too. There are a couple of sex scenes in the book, but nothing very graphic. This isn’t one of those books that makes you think that is all the couple have in common. Instead, the author is able to make us empathize with the emotional struggles of Jace and Charlotte. The book has characters you will love to hate: Darlene, and Charlotte’s manipulative parents. Especially the father. It will have characters you just love: Spencer, Ben, Woolemena, and Hattie. It has humor to balance out the emotional scenes of the book. Buy it. You won’t’ regret it. It is the third book in the Sugar, Georgia series, but I don’t think anyone would have a problem following the book if they have not read the first two books.

It's not everyday that you get a second chance at love, and for Jace McGraw he has chosen to take full advantage of his second opportunity at a chance to be with the love of his life. When he married his wife four years ago, he knew she was the one he was meant to spend the rest of his life with, however, he chose to walk away from her because he thought he would be the one thing to hold her back from achieving her goals. He walked away without so much as a goodbye, and completely broke his wife's heart. After finding out their annulment papers weren't filed correctly, and that their actually still married, he figures he now has the chance to prove to her that the spark between them is still there, and is hoping she'll let him back into her life. But how do you win someone's heart back in three weeks, when they want nothing to do with you? Fate has stepped in and given Jace a second chance to right a wrong he made four years ago, question is can he win her back in time, or will history repeat itself and have him walking away once again ... Charlotte Holden is a successful doctor who has everything she ever wanted in life, except a special someone to spend her life with, she's tried but no one quite measures up to the bad boy who stole her heart four years ago. With her overbearing parents constantly intruding in her life, her father's high expectations and her mom's incessant need to try to set her up with someone, Charlotte is completely overwhelmed and in dire need of being rescued. As if on cue, the bad boy who walked away with her heart four years ago is back in Sugar and determined to win back her affections, only she isn't too willing to give him another chance to break what's left of her heart... I knew from the very beginning Jace would be my favorite McGraw brother, and after paragraph into this story he completely cemented a spot in my heart. He was everything I thought he'd be and so much more, Ms. Adair completely outdid herself with him! This is one series you MUST add to the top of your reading list, the folks of Sugar, Georgia will have you laughing, smiling and blushing the whole way through! ARC kindly provided by the publisher in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.

Reviewed by Angela and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Something about reading Marina Adair’s Sugar town always gives me the warm fuzzy feelings. No matter how much I want to fight it, in the end, happy and sad tears manage to fall my face. This third installment of Sugar, Georgia is about the youngest McGraw brother who has been away since the death of their parents. However, Jace McGraw is back in town due to business matters aka his wife. So happens that their marriage is not annulled as expected. Sugar’s Medical Director, Charlotte Holden had no idea of her marriage status. She thought her marriage was annulled years back but when she sees Jace, she finds out their marriage is still in tact as well as their strong feelings for each other. Marina did a suhweet job on this book. It was full of feels; be it family, brotherly, or romantic feels. She wrote a fantastic second-chance story stuffed with love, loss, and new beginnings. Of course, it had it’s humor and sexy moments. I’m not going to lie, I honestly did not expect to love this book…this much. Jace touched my heart to the core. This man is both simple yet amazing. He has so much more to him than meets the eye. And the love and attraction between Charlotte and Jace was just so strong you’ll wonder why they split up to begin with. It was fate, though. I think the separation gave them time to mature and in the end learning to appreciate the important things in life. Especially Jace. Coming back to Sugar made him realize what he’s been missing. His story of coming back home truly brought me to tears. Kudos Marina, a job well done.

***4.5 out of 5 stars*** Review copy provided by publisher I have enjoyed each of the Sugar, Georgia books in the series so far. I do have to say Jace and Charlotte's story might just be my favorite of the 3 though. Let me just say that I loved Jace and Charlotte together so much. I knew there was something up with Jace and Charlotte from her reaction to his name being mentioned in earlier books, but have to say the fact they eloped 4 years ago never crossed my mind. I love that Jace calls Charlotte Charlie and I started thinking of her as Charlie the longer Jace was around. With the exception of marrying the town's bad boy, Charlotte has always done what is right when representing her family, the hospital or the town. She has always put everyone else's needs above her own, and I loved that for the 30 days she and Jace would live together before the divorce, she actually put herself and her needs above others. I felt like both Jace and Charlotte had never stopped loving each other in the 4 years they were apart. However, it was so fun to watch them fall in love all over again with one another as they spent each day together. A Taste of Sugar was a fast, funny and sexy read. I loved there was so much humor to go with the romance as well as a little bit of town drama. I grew up in a small town and have to say the small town description of Sugar, Georgia is absolutely perfect.

Charlotte Holden, the prim and proper pediatrician of Sugar, Georgia is in for a big surprise…. Her short-lived marriage to the town bad-boy, Jace McGraw, was never really annulled. Uh-oh! This can’t be happening.. not when she is at a major crossroads in her career and the future of the town clinic is on the line. She has too much riding on getting funding for the expansion of the pediatric wing to deal with the “marriage” that she thought was over, and to deal with the oh so sexy mechanic husband she thought she was over! Jace has arrived in Sugar to dissolve the marriage and then head back to Atlanta to get on with his life and his dream of owning a high-end auto repair business. One little problem gets in his way… he realizes still loves Charlotte and he has three weeks to prove to her that they belong together. The path to their HEA involves a Founders Day celebration, a love sick sheep named Woolamena, classic cars and the local debutante group known as the Sugar Peaches. Lots of laughs, some tears and some sexy scenes are thrown in along the way as well. Take time to read this book… it is the third in this series and I would recommend the first two books as well. Looking forward to the next series from this author.

A fun, cute story that takes us back to the wacky town of Sugar with all it's crazy residents. I adored Charlotte and Jace's story! A secret wedding, an annulment (oops, never happened!), and off the charts chemistry makes their relationship a little....challenging. Their story is filled with fun, humor, and high emotions! It's a fantastic story that I highly recommend to everyone.

I loved this book #3 in the sugar series. Charlotte and Jace sizzle so much the pages burn. Charlotte the town pediatrician is involved with the Grow clinic, not really involved with anyone until Jace shows up on the scene with news about the marriage and annulment that occurred in the past. Read on to see how the story carries on, heartwarming and steamy as Marina does with her books. You will love this book and series, it will be a keeper on your shelf to be read many times over.

A Taste of Sugar was another Marina Adair original. Have only read three books by her and am quickly becoming a fan. She blends serious subject matters with enchanting storytelling and creates concoctions of heartwarming romance ever time. Her stories are like revisiting old friends and discovering new details of their lives. A sense of home in every read. At the center of A Taste of Sugar are two good people who are trying to rectify past mistakes and maybe in the process fall in love again. What's not to like? I received an ARC of A Taste of Sugar in exchange for an honest review. Sweet, touching and fun.
