It's been a few months since Simon and Elizabeth returned from their adventure in 1888 London. Jack is back with them and all is as it should be, until a knock on the door changes that. A visitor from the future turns their world upside-down.
Unable to return her to her time, they go to the Council for help, only to discover there are bigger problems afoot. All of the watches have been shut down until a dangerous and secret weapon--a watch that can change any point in time--can be found. Too powerful for anyone to possess, it was hidden. But now the secret's out, and the mysterious Shadow Council will do anything to get their hands on it.
Simon, Elizabeth and Jack race to find it before the Shadow Council does or it will be the end of...everything.

I have read all 8 books and am totally hooked. Monique Martin really captures us when the future comes to the past and possibly gives us a glimpse into the future. Excellent book.
I wish the books were longer, and more of Travers' character was developed. Simon still is a stuffy worrywart but Elizabeth and Jack are more lively. I think this series would make a great tv show. Lookibg forward to the next one.
I started with the free one love it, got hooked on it. The stories are are good, I some time can read one nite. Love all historian event in the books!!
As in the other 7, M.M. tells a tale i can hardly put down. Cant wait to see what Simon, Elizabeth & Jack do next. Thanks! J
A very enjoyable read. For me a nice twist on the usual time plots.
Totally love this series. They are all quick reads but well written and in depth. I stumbled on this series searching for something to read on goodreads and quickly ordered all of them. I love the development of each character as the books progess. Looking forward to more of Jake and Victor.
