Go to earth. Find a woman. Bring her back. Simple.
The Emperor's Shadow, Xaandryn, is not a warrior. He's something else, whatever else, the Emperor needs him to be. An assassin, and, it seems… now he's a delivery boy. Sent to earth to retrieve the Lady Jessica's sick sister, he's anticipating an easy trip and, if he spends a little time getting to know the local culture… well, that's just a perk of the job. Right?
Human women though are endlessly fascinating, especially Jac Wright, the sick lady's nurse. He'd thought the warriors who'd fallen for human women had defective genes, that there was something wrong in their makeup that allowed them to fall prey to their human mates. But Jac is… something else. Tiny. Delicate. Beautiful.
When his mission goes sideways, and an attack puts a couple of them in danger, he escapes earth with not one, but two human women in his care. After all… she's only one tiny little woman. What could possibly go wrong?
He's hot. Gorgeous. And a total liar...
When the hot 'doctor' who arrives to see her sick charge, Jac wright knows he's not on the level. No doctor looks the way Rynn does… hot, ripped and panty-wettingly gorgeous… not unless they're on primetime TV. Then the shit hits the fan, aliens attack and she finds herself on an alien ship with her charge frozen into a giant blue popsicle.
What's a girl to do? Kiss the hot alien, then knock him out of course. The problem is, she can't drive a car, never mind fly an alien spaceship. Which is a problem when other, bad aliens board the ship… with an assassin on side though, breaking out of an alien brig is child's play, but comes with a price: Rynn's trust.
But once on Lathar Prime her lover seems less than interested in bringing their relationship into the light of day. Will he realise what she's offering, or will Jac be forced to go to extreme measures to claim her alien assassin's heart?
This is the fifth story in the Warriors of the Lathar Series:
1 - Alien Lord's Captive
2 - Claiming her Alien Warrior
3 - Pregnant by the Alien Healer
4 - Alien Healer's Baby (Slice of Life story)
5 - Adored by the Alien Assassin

The series has it all, conflict, romance, sex, and hope. The women haven’t been lucky in love with men from home but in the stars they find men who worship them. Stories move quickly and keep you interested. Highly recommend. Four stars because they need to be longer.
Xaandrynn or Rynn is the best spy and assassin in the Lathar empire. They called him the emperor's shadow. ...... a boogey man. He was being sent out on a mission to recover lady Jessica's twin sister and he can not fail. She is sick but her dna may also save his people. Jac wright has been working 2 jobs just to try to make ends meet. One job is helping Mrs Kallson (lady Jessica's mom) take care of her sick daughter. The other daughter was taken by the aliens (lady Jessica) and now Mrs Kallson us sick too. Her second job is at a bar. Lots of action, drama, spice, mystery, intrigue and more in this awesome story. I loved the characters. They are awesome. I couldn't put it down. It's a great science fiction romance. Don't miss it Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
I was given an Advanced Review Copy, by the author, in return for a honest review. This is the fifth book in the Warriors of Lathar series. Rynn, an elite warrior assassin for the emperor, is sent on a retrieval mission to Earth, but got more than he bargained for. Jac Wright, is one smart, feisty female that is forced to accompany Rynn on his mission that is out of this world. Great plot. The detail to the unfolding scenes painted a vivid picture as I read. There were some touching moments and quite a few twists in the plot. I liked how relatable Jac and Rynn's characters were and their romance was perfect. Well written Sci-fi, alien romance I couldn't quit reading till the end! - Sarah
The timing seems to be off. They mentioned characters from previous books but don't mention anything about the story line. Like where was baby Miisan. I also thought they had trouble conceiving but this couple concieves without any mention of treatments. I love this series but I feel as if this book was rushed.
The lusty Lathar are back! Xaandrynn (Rynn) has been deployed to Earth on a secret mission...return with Lady Jessica's ill sister, Elizabeth, to be treated by the Lathar Healers. What can go wrong??? Well he could stumble across Elizabeth's carer, Jac, within the local pub and tell her he's an actor when he saves her from her drunk ex. But when he turns up the following day claiming to be a doctor...well that'll be him busted then! But just when he tries to explain himself rebel Lathar strike and he has to get Elizabeth and Jac to safety. Rynn is NOT your typical assassin. Sure he is deadly, silent and shadowy but he is also personable and friendl (when he wants to be) and let's not forget sex on two legs handsome! Jac, well I took some warming up to her I must admit. Not quite sure what rubbed me the wrong way but I liked her eventually. She does seem to be her own worst enemy by rashly believing she knows best! Maybe it was the fact that a certain AI kind of stole the limelight! I want a Keris! All your other favourite characters make cameo appearances too. I love Daynaal and his continual war with a certain Marine. I was sad that Jessica and Elizabeth's mum was left behind but I'm sure she'll appear eventually. I have my money on her hooking up with Rynn's dad...we shall have to wait and see!
Spy, assassin, the emperor's shadow...these are all names used to describe Rynn. He's the one the emperor calls for "tough" jobs. Collecting and delivering the Lady Jessica's sick sister should be a simple assignment. Right? Wrong! Rynn didn't count on Jac. The last thing Jac expected was to find herself kidnapped by an alien...a sexy alien. I think this may be one of my favorites in this series. I loved Rynn. While he may have been a success at his "profession", deep down he had self-doubt just like everyone else. Will this doubt keep him from claiming Jac? *I received an Advance Reader's Copy of this book which I am voluntarily reviewing*
This is a 147 nook pages and I love this series, but it seemed this story was rushed. Could not connect with the characters as well as in the other books. Left some unanswered questions for me....what happened to Jessica's sister? Their mom? There is other questions, but do not want to spoil anything. Overall it was a good read, wished it was longer and more indepth. It was filled with conflict, action, steamy loving, and visits from other characters.****
