I highly enjoyed this one. You have one hunky Dragon shifter and a Chinese dragon shifter in this one. So intriguing. Love when I come across dragon shifters. Chloe is on her next matchmaking mission. She needs to find a way to get Adrian and Lie-Me together. Using a dragon's desire to add to their hoard of riches comes up with a plan. Thinking as each other the enemy after first, but their dragon's tell a different story. Can Adrian convince Lie-Me to give them a chance? Will Chloe succeed in her mission?

"Adrian" is the story of two dragon shifters. Li-Mei, a Chinese dragon, is a collector of rare books. She receives a message regarding a legendary book about the origin of dragons. She goes to retrieve the book. Adrian, a western dragon, is hired by a mysterious woman to recover a gem. While completing the job, he meets a Chinese dragon, Li-Mei. Believing they were both on the same job, and she had the gem, Adrian sets out to find her. This was a quick read with an amazing amount of character development packed into the story. I'll admit that I did not like Adrian at first. He was more into hook-ups than relationships (his partners were, too, so no hurt feelings). But when he meet Li-Mei, that changed quickly. Li-Mei was his opposite in many ways and they both learned a lot from each other. It was great seeing them learn about each other and themselves. "Adrian" is part of the Zodiac series, but is not a serial, it is a stand alone story. The main couple get their happily ever after in each of the stories. The two gods, Eros and Chloe, are followed throughout the series, at the beginning and end of each book. I received an ARC for an honest review.

August was the month for dragons and wow, Brandy Walker delivered a knock out story for the eighth book in her Mystic Zodiac series. I have not read many dragon shifter books but she has set the bar to my expectations when I do. The story flowed as Adrian, a western breed was fated to be with Li-Mei, a Chinese dragon. They just needed a little intervention or push from Chloe as she spun her match-matching skills. Adrian and Li are so opposite the connection is instant yet simmers beneath the surface, building as they learn about each other. The end result is sizzling hot and I wanted more. One of many favorite quotes: “I am not riled up,” she snapped, proving his point with her reaction. “Oh, little dragon, you most certainly are. I like it when you get uptight with me. Maybe later you can punish me for being a bad student.” The book can be read as a standalone. You will still fall in love with the characters and want more of this amazing series.

Hired by a mysterious woman to recover a gem, tattoo artist and dragon, Adrian, gets there just a smidge too late. In fact, a Chinese dragon is flying off with his treasure. A Chinese dragon? He's never heard of one being around. On his quest to hunt down the mysterious dragon, Adrian runs into Li-Mei where she works at the college library, while he's trying to research Chinese dragons. Although a dragon, Li-Mei's treasure is rare books instead of gems, and the one she just stole on the origins of dragons is headed for her very personal, private collection. Adrian recognizes her by her smell and knows she's the Chinese dragon who stole his treasure. The attraction is instantaneous, mutual and oh-so-hot! Trying to sort out how they were sent after the same treasure at the same time and place turns into ever so much fun. I loved Adrian and Li-Mei together. Brandy Walker has produced an August Mystic Zodiac story, with special appearances by Chloe and Eros, that is sure to please. (Gifted an ARC for independent review)

Adrian is a story about guiding destined mates to their forever lasting love. The quality and smoothness of Brandy's writing is dynamic as she lures the reader into an UNFORGETABLE story leaving you amazed and wanting more! The story features: EROS: God of Love and desire, matchmaker; CHLOE (Chlotho) the Fate of birth-matchmaker; Adrian a sexy, gorgeous, dragon shifter, tattoo artist and jewel thief; Li-Mei Chen, a beautiful Chinese Dragon who soars the sky with grace and steals priceless books. CHLOE CREATES A MATCHMAKING PLAN FOR TWO UNSUSPECTING DRAGONS!! The story is filled with amazing, impressive and engaging characters, banter is superb, fabulous vivid scene descriptions, spectacular story-line, sky-rocketing earth-shattering passion and romance, and an ending that delights the heart. Incredible well written read by a gifted author. A captivating fantasy that soothes the soul. A most gratifying read and I loved it. The characters are convincing as well as praise-worthy. I so look forward to reading the September book to see who will be the next in the matchmaking game. {I received an arc for an thoroughly truthful review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I highly recommend this book, and the series.

I will admit to falling for the cover. Then I met Adrian & Li-Mei and just knew that fate had gotten it right this time. The tension between these two is off the charts but they take it slow knowing that they have a long time ahead of them and want to be sure. Adrian gets a new definition for the word gem and Li-Mei may find a world outside of her books.
