Ikelionwu the brave man of Akachalla continues to play god in his local community-neither listening to any man nor the gods. As the business of slavery intensifies in Akachalla, he connives with the white slave masters in enslaving his own people. Disregarding the warnings of his kinsmen and the Agadinwanyi deity to desist from slave trade, Uwadiegwu, his good friend, attacks him on his way to purchase more slaves.
