Overall rating:4 This is an easy to read second chance romance. The characters are quite believable and the author writes a smooth sailing storyline. Although I could more or less figure out what was to come, this was still an entertaining short story. A book that definitely can inspire people to believe in second chances, or cement that second chances are just fantasy lol.

This was a sweet, second chance romance. Hailey and Nate liked each other in high school but didn't really pursue it until it was too late. They have a fling before Hailey leaves for college. Fast forward 8 years later and Hailey comes back home to make some decisions about her father. Nate is a single dad trying to afford horse therapy lessons for his special needs daughter. Sweet, easy to follow, and very likeable characters.

What a heartwarming, sweet story about lost loves and second chances. Also about the love and strength of family!! Loved the characters, especially Lori, and such a wonderful storyline. Defiantly a "feel good" book!! I highly recommend this book!

A sweet second chance romance that tugs at the heart. I enjoyed the characters and their story. The love between them was undeniable and their journey to find it even better. A must read for second chance romance lovers!

This was my first book by Phillips and I really enjoyed it. I felt a connection to it since the small town in this story in near where I live. I also feel like it made my connections to the characters stronger because I could relate to them. I would say this is a quick sweet small town romance and second chance love story.

Like so many young couples in high school with young love they take it and run but seeing things in a different way. Hailey wanted out of the small town life she lived. Nate just went with the flow knowing they would be together no matter what. One hot night of passion that last a life time doesn’t hold her back. She leaves town with no good bye, yes she loves him but he will not hold her back. Nate is devastated. Love is lost, ties are broken and their lives go in different directions. Nate left town to but with the hand he was dealt he wasn’t long before he came home. With Hailey back in town for family reasons they now come face to face. Will old love be enough to keep her in town this time or will she take off running again. There is something about second chance love that gets me right in the heart. I think most of us all wish at some point in our lives for that second chance to come our way. It seem faith knows what is best as we move on to our new life, new love, everything seems to turn out pretty good. But for the ones that get that second chance it is a powerful story that pulls us in giving us a smile and a feeling of peace. With Hailey coming home and see Nate again it makes her rethink her choices. With the pitfalls that have come her way it makes her take a look at the way things were and how they now are. What if she didn’t run how would their live have been today. A lot of thought went into the making of this story looking at things from all angles. It is beautifully written pulling the reader in. I had no trouble feeling the turmoil of each character, the pain and sorrow along with the what ifs. I love the role revisal with Nate being the single parent trying to do what is best for his daughter and Hailey being the driven one with a career. It is a very touching story of a father and daughter as well as old loves finding what the true meaning of love and family is all about. It is a story that reaches right in to your heart giving you sorrow, smiles and a feeling of peace as the story unfolds bring so much love and passion with it you feel it to your bones. I really enjoyed the twists and turns as things came to light. The author kept me hooked from start to finish with a delightful story that is a page turner.

What originally drew me to All That's Unspoken is that it takes place in my home state of Michigan. That may have been the instant appeal, but it turns out that Hailey and Nate were a life lesson. Ms. Phillips tackles subjects that are as heartbreaking as they are relate-able. Subjects like loss, grief, the dynamic drama of family and the hard choices like risking the heart and letting go of the past. Both Hailey and Nate have a great deal to lose but even more to gain, if they grab hold of the second chance fate has bestowed upon them. A beautifully presented circle of life tale that aims for the heart and scores a bulls-eye shot.

This is the first book in the Sunnydale Days series. I have read multiple books from the author and once again she has written a good story. This book can be read as a standalone. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. The author did a good job of describing the setting of Caseville, Michigan as well as Sunnydale Farm and what they do. The main characters of Hailey, Nate, and his daughter Lori. It's been eight years. Will they take a second chance with each other? I  enjoyed this book and I think you will too! I look forward to reading more books in this series.

When Hailey and Nate first hook up it's right after the end of senior year. It must have been a pretty magical first time... because they both can see it changing their lives. Only, Nate thinks of being flexible... he could go to college in NY with her, or she could go with him, or they'll have the summer romance of a lifetime and figure it all out (ahhh teenagers... life is all sunshine and roses, fearless, ready to conquer anything). Hailey also thinks her strong immediate feelings for Nate could change her plans... only she's dying to get out of small town Michigan... and runs to NY the morning after so she won't let her feelings hold her back (ahhhh teenagers... short sighted, unthinking, horrible communicators.). Hailey doesn't say a word to Nate... and she doesn't give him a chance to talk to her. Ties are cut. Life moves on. But, life leads Hailey back home. And home makes Hailey realize what she's missed. Who knew one real date and one night of sex in the back of a pick up could leave 8 years worth of memory and regret? Seniors in high school have NO CLUE. Heck, seniors in college tend to have no clue. Do adults even have a clue 1/2 the time? This is really a story of figuring out what is important in life. It takes Hailey 8 years, her mother dying, her father's health declining, and job loss to finally realize life is short... and there are more important things than a high paying job in the city. Sometimes you have to give up to win. And then Nate. While Hailey, and then Lori's mother, left him broken... what a man he has become. All it took was Lori to make him realize what was important in life. Is anything hotter than a single father who is an amazing dad? His relationship with his daughter kind of turned me into a puddle. I'm happy the next book in the series focuses on Nate's sister Anna... since I'm sure it means we'll get a little peek at what happens with Hailey and Nate.

Heartbreaking but yet a sweet romance. Will it all fall in place? Will things still stand in the way? How can you possibly let go of what you once had? If these two make it or not, is up to you to find out! A great book, well written and easy to connect with the characters with a great storyline. You made need tissues here and there, but well worth it! *Received for an honest review*
