Amish Christmas Abduction by Dana R. Lynn

After catching a glimpse of something she wasn’t supposed to see days before Christmas, Irene Martello is run off the road and barely survives. More shocking is the backseat whimper of an Amish toddler stowaway and the familiar sight of their rescuer—the man who’d let her down years earlier. Police chief Paul Kennedy fears Irene stumbled onto a kidnapping ring with two dangerous agendas: retrieving the girl and silencing the witness for good. Only Paul can keep them safe for the holidays. Guarding Irene means risking his heart—and his secret—but to save the child and the woman he never stopped loving, it’s a risk he has to take.

An amazing adrenaline rush romantic suspense novel! I absolutely love the main characters in this wonderful book! The baggage that both Irene and Paul are carrying is understandable and I was really hoping to see them move beyond it and admit to how they felt. Mary is a sweetheart and I wanted to just wrap her up in a big hug and protect her myself. The plot of the story is fantastic. We were let in on the information of who the bad guys were fairly early on. But WOW! The details about the depth of danger they were in, was built upon throughout the book! I was caught up in the story hook, line, and sinker! There was no way that I would be able to put this book aside for something else until the bad guys were caught and everyone was safe again. I received a free copy of this book from the author. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion. Irene Martello bangs on a wrong door and catches a glimpse of something she shouldn’t see. She soon finds herself being run off the road and barely escapes with her life. To top it off, she’s rescued by the man she tried hard to forget. They discover an Amish child hidden in the back seat of Irene’s car and stumble onto an abduction ring. Police Chief Paul Kennedy is shocked to find the woman in the car is his long lost love, but he can’t let her know the secret of why he abandoned her years ago. He tries hard to keep her and the toddler safe, but they’re hit with explosive threats around every corner. Can Irene and Paul stop this abduction ring before the ring grab another child or Irene is killed? Will they let go of the past and admit their growing feelings for each other? Find out in this Christmas tale. Amish Christmas Abduction grabs the reader from page one and keeps them in a vice grip until the last page. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it had me glued. I loved the plot and the lost love angle. The characters were well written. They jump off the page to the reader. I found myself cheering them both on and biting my nails as they’re faced with every obstacle. The little girl melted my heart. The Christmas time frame and wintery season played well in the plot. I could picture the story as it unfolded in the Amish community. The use of imagery was also very well done. This is the third book I’ve read by Dana R. Lynn and I have to say, each novel gets better and better. I will keep watching for this author’s next story. I give Amish Christmas Abduction five Christmas trees. You’ll want to curl up by the fireplace to read this one!! **Book has been provided courtesy of the author in exchange for my honest review.

From the moment I started reading Amish Christmas Abduction I had a difficult time putting it down. I quickly was swept up into Irene and Paul’s story. There was never a dull moment for them as their re-connection was tested both emotionally and physically. With the history these two share and the danger that they were in, how wonderful it was seeing God speak to both of them; as well as guiding them in their relationship and learning to trust each other again. Yet another well written story by Dana R. Lynn. I look forward to the next one!

Irene Martello's life just got drastically more dangerous when she knocks on the wrong house door while doing her job as a children's early intervention worker. Getting ran off the road is the least of her problems! Having been called to the scene of the accident, police chief Paul Kennedy also discovers a child hidden in her car. Can they solve the mystery of who the little girl is before it's too late? This story takes many twists & turns and the puzzle pieces get more jumbled as it progresses! Paul and Irene stumble upon something more sinister with each passing clue and the plot thickens to pea soup consistency. Heightened danger necessitates around-the-clock protection for Irene and her boys. These two also have a romantic past that they need to address head on. Paul had his reasons for leaving, but never shared with Irene. Will he find healing & forgiveness in her eyes if he breaks down the walls of his heart and is honest with her? Having been married to a police officer who died three years before, will she open up to love again, especially to the chief? Her boys AJ and Matthew added their own personality and whimsical nature to the story. Even though this is the third in the series, it can stand alone fine. Although for me, I've been looking forward to Paul's eventual happily-ever-after, I'm so glad the author wrote his story! Forgiveness, second chances in both love and faith, heart-pounding suspense, and high adrenaline scenes all mash up to bring the reader an exceptional book in the Amish County Justice series by Dana R. Lynn! *I received a complimentary copy from the author and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review. *
