This is an amazing adrenaline rush romantic suspense novel! I loved going back to LaMar Pond, Pennsylvania. It was fun visiting with the police force of this small town again and seeing the growth of the officers’ families. Gavin Jackson took center stage for this visit and he was an incredible hero. He was riddled with self doubt and baggage which made him a very realistic character. Alexa Grant was a wonderful damsel in distress. When the book opened she didn’t even know she was in danger. She had moved to the small town to lick her wounds after suffering a terrible loss. I was able to understand her pain and was rooting for her to work through it and grow as a person because of it. The plot of the mystery was so well crafted that I was caught up in it and determined to see it through to the end. There had to be justice so that the citizens of LaMar Pond would be safe. The twists and turns that the story took were fantastic. When the culprit was revealed I was totally blown away and hadn’t seen it coming. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author.
