Anthony, Rev. Alfred Williams, was born in Providence, R. I., Jan. 13, 1860 and descented from Rev. Roger Williams from both sides of his parents. He became a Christian at the age of 14. He prepared for college at Mowry and Goff's School, Providence, and graduated from Brown University, in 1883.
