I was unsure about starting in on this next installment in the Angel Burn series. The first book was more enjoyable than I had originally anticipated, as can be seen in my review. But something was keeping me from getting excited about this next book. Perhaps it was the over-exposure to angel paranormals. Regardless of the reason, when I finally picked it up, the story performed better than I expected. The action in chapter one picks up right where the first book leaves off, which is always appreciated by me. There's no better way to start a sequel than with action directly after the first book. no lazy daisy taking your time getting back into the story! In fact, the action was better overall in this book than in the first. Action can go such a long way in the reader's pleasure! I liked that there was so much fighting and gun-shooting action. I still love the way angels are evil in this series. The characters were just so-so. Willow was fine, with her complex relationship with her two selves. I honestly wanted to see more of her struggle, instead of her just pushing her angel side down. Alex was a bore, being way too over-dramatic one moment, and then being for too submissive in the next. The introduction of Seb was a saving point, as the conflict he brought to both Alex and Willow was intense. I would have to agree with Willow that the choice is tricky. There is supposed to be on more book to round out this trilogy, and though I hesitate to get excited about it, I know I will pick it up to see the fate of these characters.

This sounds more amazing than the first one "Angel Burn". I Loved reading that one and I am sure I will love this one too. It gives a different spin on the concept of angels. Don't Miss It. If you like Halo or The Hush Hush series then you need to read this too.

I loved the first one and couldnt wait to read this one. This one upset me. Too much day to day same old stuff very boring throughtout most of the book I had z hard time reading a lot of the chapters. I would have gave up on this book in the middld if i didnt have hope that it got better in the end but the ending made me not care about another one.

This was the all time best book i have ever read. It is full of detail and emotion and really draws you in. The characters are so well rounded and thought out, and the plot was not predictable. It is so easy to enter a character's head, and really feel what they feel. Amazing writer. Amazing first two books and im just waiting for the third.

I had to say that this book was amazing ! Right from the beginning there was this enigma that lingered which kept me tearing through the pages so that i could find out what it was. This book has you go through so many emotions like love obviously, fustration, sadness, and hate. You feel what the character feels and you began to develop your own feelings for each character. I LOVE how different sections were told from different characters. The reader could get a look from a different perspective on an event that took place. It was well done.

You know those books that draw you in and time seems to pass without your awareness or knowledge? This series does that. Theres enough romance and action to send your heart aflutter without any vulgarity. The conflict is surprisingly relatable. This, for a series about angels is quite an achievement. The plot is refreshing. Im thoroughly hooked and cannot wait for the conclusion!!

I loved the first book so much this one was good but had some slow parts, and some big changes. Overall i think it was a good book, and the author has me wandering who Willow's choice will eventually be. Even though I have always liked Alex there is just something about Seb that he can't compete with. I hope all the readers enjoy this second installment!

Loved it! I was drawn in after reading the first book, "Angel Burn". This one promises even more drame and suspense as things unfold. Alex and Willow take a whole lot more on than just one church. The story is exciting, suspenseful, and keeps you on the edge of your nook reading!!

I really loved this book! There are so many changes, new characters, and new places that made me so happy and giddy while reading this book. I especially loved the emotions in the book as well as the progress of the characters. Since the first book, Alex and Willow are on the run. Things might be all as what they thought.Without any spoilers, I want to express why I loved this book so much. First off, there are some new characters that really made the book much more edgy. Both characters create uncertainty and unstable environments. Many things from the past come up to haunt and destroy Alex and Willow, while others things come up just to complicate it more. I did enjoy what these new characters brought. As the reader, as the new characters bring more story to the story, they also open up doors to that can be bad.The plot line of this book delve deeper into the angels. I loved that Willow is able to learn more about herself that what she thought. Though many fear rose up in Willow, she still kept herself strong and did what need to be done. All the characters in this book, including minor ones, played bigger parts. I like seeing how the minor characters decisions played a big part in the end.All in all, Angel Fire is a great sequel. One that is fast past and very exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed this book far more than I enjoyed the first. Ms. Weatherly gave her readers so much more to be excited about. Ms. Weatherly answered questions, raised more, but left her readers yearning for the third book! I can't wait to read it!

This series has become one of my favorite of all time. I do not think there are enough good things I could say about this series and this latest book! I could go on for hours. The writing it TOP NOTCH! There is not one thing I could complain about. The storyline is amazing, something I could easily see being made into a blockbuster movie. The characters are delightful, real, engaging, inspiring, heartfelt, dramatic, and just plain....perfect. Really! Alex and Willow's relationship is treated with just the right mix of drama and realism/authenticity needed. I really enjoyed that L.A. Weatherly strayed away from the beaten path of keeping the character's YA 'innocent' and I appreciated the hot/steamy/ but appropriate in a YA novel scences between Alex and Willow. Out of all the YA books and couples I have read... they are by far my favorite. L.A. Weatherly throws a wrench in things, stirs it up a bit, and STILL they are my favorite. The continuation of the storyline just left me breathless. The development of the plot is awesome! I was literally on the edge of my seat with anticipation and despite the length (THANK YOU! I wish more books were this long), the pace was perfect. All the new characters were interesting (ugh, even Seb!) and the returning characters made me so happy (Raziel). I really think the strength of this book goes to the writing! The character development, storyline, and excellent writing/pace/development/description/concept is what really makes the Angel Burn series by far one of the best out there! If you're tired of the same ol' YA novel and you want something REALLY interesting, read these. You won't be sorry! I thank the person who recommended Angel Burn to me over and over because I would be so sorry if I never knew the wonder that is Angel Burn and now Angel Fire. L.A., you've outdone yourself ma'am! Thank you!
