As I read the Angel of Skye I was amazed at the detail in the story and at the detail of the setting in time and place. I learned about Skye, a part of Scotland I knew little about. The story was filled with mystery and historical detail and just when I thought I knew what would happen, the plot twisted and we were off in a different direction . I plan to read more books in this series.

The intertwining of history and romance bring the reader a fascinating ride through old Scotland. The main characters are strong in color and dominate the adventurous landscape leaving the secondary folk a wee bit pale. Nonetheless the reader can hardly escape the feeling of travelling through the Scottish highlands.

This book was great! It's what started me reading May McGoldrick books. Very romantic...I can't remember the rest, because I read it years ago, but I just remember knowing that I loved it.
