About the Author

Ben Goggins was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. He moved to Tybee Island forty years ago and never looked back. The little island at the end of the road is a slice of paradise. Ben writes a regular lifestyle column for the Savannah Morning News. He has done this since 2012, after a career as a marine biologist and chemist. His column is called "Looking for Pearls."
