The Giacalone brothers are closely associated with the July 30, 1975 disappearance of James Riddle Hoffa, the President of the Teamsters Union. Hoffa was scheduled to meet the brothers along with Genovese family capo Anthony "Tony Pro" Provenzano. The latter had flown in from his home in Union City, New Jersey.
